My plan right now is to order a cake from Boardwalk Bakery to have at dinner the night of DH's actual birthday, which will be our second night there.

It's always fun to celebrate a bdy at Disney! As you mentioned they do have Star Wars weekends in May & June.

I don't know if you saw my reply in your duplicate post, so I'm copying and pasting what I wrote:

We celebrated my DH's 40th birthday in October 2005. His request was to have dinner at Teppanyaki in Japan. There were 11 of us, but we had to split up because the table only seats 8. They brought him a piece of cake with a candle, and gave him a chef's hat. Anyway, it was fun, but he decided that he should have picked Whispering Canyon Cafe instead. Oh well.

He got his birthday button at the MK on his birthday, and he experienced all kinds of Disney Magic that day, including being moved to the front of the line at the Tomorrowland Speedway by a cast member who spotted his button. It was GREAT, since the wait on line was over an hour long!

In answer to your Star Wars question, there is a ride, Star Tours, at MGM. Under the ride, there is a great gift shop that my kids absolutely LOVE. Can't get out of that place without spending a bundle! LOL

HTH's, and Happy birthday to your DH!

Wow, thanks for all that info! I'm thinking about a cake from the YC for our Illuminations Cruise, but I didn't know where to find the info.
