Hi Everyone,

We are going to WDW in April and are thinking of taking the kids to one of the water parks. Ages will be 12, 9 1/2, and 6. Which park is more kid friendly, ie, not too overwhelming for my littlest one? He's an independent swimmer but timid on bigger rides.

We have not yet ventured into one of the Disney water parks.

In our experience, Blizzard Beach was better for the older set as there are more "thriller" or big drop rides. In all the years we have been to WDW, when our kids were younger, we only hit BB once. It just wasn't conducive for us when the kids were younger. We felt that TL was more "young family" friendly. Nothing can beat the wave pool at TL! I would strongly suggest TL for the ages your kids are now.

Another hint. We have always made it a point to get to the water park a 1/2 hour early. We have always been able to get our usual spot and basically had our pick of whatever chairs and spot we wanted.

There are two perfect sized slides for your 6 year old. They are in the area just to the left of the wave pool. The water is shallow enough for a parent to stand a distance away from the bottom of the slide and retrieve your young swimmer.

Have fun!

Thanks everyone! I'm off to explore a little more about both on the AllEars site!
