Can a 6 yr. old (almost 7) walk all day?

My daughter will be 7 in July. I'm wondering if she will be able to walk around the parks. I can't imagine her in a stroller, but then again if she is tired I'm sure she would. Just how much walking is there? YIKES!! We will spend the mornings on the rides, hotel in the afternoon for swim and resting and then back to the park for dinner and a show, etc. From your experience, are your 6/7 yr olds walking? Just trying to prepare and think ahead. Thanks.

She did slow down, but she ran for the busses just like the rest of us.

The first time we went my DD was 6 and she walked all day (for 4 straight days lol!) with no problems.
She complained that her feet "were a wall of flame" at one point but by then so were mine LOL!
We found a fountain, and stuck our feet in it to cool off.
Comfy shoes and lots of rest breaks should do the trick.

My 5yo & almost 3yo walked pretty much the whole time we were there & we stayed in the parks all day.
My oldest is now 6, we've gone to WDW when he was just shy of 4 and just shy of 5, and he's never used a stroller. The exception was after we saw Fantasmic, and our then 15-month old was sleeping and DH was carrying him, and the older one asked if he could ride in the stroller instead of walk to the bus.
We've always told him we'll rent a stroller if he needs it, but he never wants one, and he never whines or complains that he's tired. Now, if he gets sprayed with water, that's another issue entirely ;-)

I think a lot of it depends on the child. My oldest has never used a stroller past her first visit (2) and even on that trip we only used it half of the time. Last trip she was 8. My neice who is 9 mo younger than her came on that trip and started complaining about walking as soon as we left the cabin. every. single. day.
My younger 2 would prefer to walk the whole time as well - they're 2 & 3, but with 4 girls on the last trip we kept them in umbrella strollers as much as possible for longer walks and parked the strollers and let them walk for the smaller areas, like find one parking spot and hit all of a 'land' before retrieving the strollers and moving on. Both dh and I are looking forward to next trip when we won't have strollers to deal with. 'Next' trip is slated to be in about 2-3 years when the little ones are 4 & 5 or 5 & 6, with a cruise planned for 08.
My oldest can open and close a park without a real break as long as there are small breaks here and there - like sitting down for a meal, or stopping and talking to cast members. My younger two and my dh can't do that. They all need a mid day break back at the resort. So a favorite tradition of sorts for me and my dd is on one night of our trip, usually the last we spend 3/4 of a day at the park, go back to the resort, relax have dinner etc and then she and I go back out to MK and close it down. We have been lucky that this has ended up an EMH night with a late close anyways, or a party night so we don't even get back to the cabin until between 1 & 2 in the morning. It's so much fun!

Like the pps said, I think it depends on your child.

Our last trip in September 05 was our first "stroller free" trip. We brought one, but my DS only used it on the first night and then said he didn't want it anymore. He was 6.
I think it depends on your child, but I'd say she'll probably be fine w/o a stroller. You could always rent one if you see the need.
Have fun!

I haven't read all the replies but when we went in 2005 the only person in a stroller was the 1 year old.
Kyle turned 5 in May of 2005 and we went in July 2005.
