Can y'all tell me abt. the photo cd?

I understand that when a CM takes your picture (I'm supposing with THEIR digital cameras) your code number goes on the photo and they're all downloaded onto a "magical" (lol) cd that you buy & take home and have license & permissions to use all those photos in any way you want ... is that right?

What if your group splits up? Is there a limit to how many photos you can get? What if the cd gets filled up? Do you pay full price for a subsequent cd?

TIA.

Hey Max...Bari again, feel free to email me anytime :)

As for the photo pass..when a CM takes your picture you get a plastic card, once you have one you can either give it to the next photographer or keep collecting them. Once you are home, you go on line register your cards & have the option to buy individual pics or all of them on a CD (where you have the rights to them, but you have to print them) I think the CD costs around $150, great if you have lots of great pics. Hope that helps.

We just returned from WDW a couple weeks ago and bought the CD while were in the parks.

>>you get a plastic card, once you have one you can either give it to the next photographer or keep collecting them>>

Ok, is it like credit-card sized? Why would I give it to the next photograper versus keep collecting them?

Is it like, if I give it to the next photographer, the CM's add that card onto the next one and THEY keep track of them?

There was a post on this board where one visitor kept finding those little plastic cards and wanted to add them to her cd after it had been registered (I think).

TIA again!

Rock on, Disney board!

Oh, Dina, you're the one who made that post a few weeks ago about continuing to find new cards? LOL, I should have read all the replies first ;D, sorry.

Do all the photographers offer the wristbands to hold the cards, or is that just in the water parks?

What I do whenever we stay in hotels is to designate ONE SPOT, preferably near the door as you enter our room/unit/whatever and near one or two electrical outlets, to dump room keys, purses, and now cell-phones & chargers. I will add the photo cards to this collection area. I usually take a few bowls (if it's not an efficiency, I get plastic bowls from a dollar store); one for the room keys, one for the cell-phones, one for car keys, etc. The fanny packs & purses get organized either on or underneath the table, and this is where those items LIVE for the entire stay. (Except when travelling with my sister & BIL, which I hadn't done in years and learned the hard way why -- when they joined us at our timeshare over Memorial Day week, they kept requesting extra keys, and requested so many that they lost track of them and lost one, insisting they hadn't, until LAST WEEK we were at their house and they sheepishly handed it to us. Luckily the hotel hadn't charged us the security fee yet! BUT my own kids know better lOL.)

I am glad to hear that things worked out for you with the additional photos! We are coming home on 12/29, and then there's the rest of the weekend, and then there's New Year's Eve (& then my b-day right after), so hopefully if we decide to go with the photo cd, we'll keep good track of everything!

Hijacking the thread to comment, about organizing all those little things (like photo cards!) keys etc 'somewhere' in the room. I read somewhere a while ago someone's post, who swore by using those clear-plastic-pocket "shoe organizers" you hang over doors, in their hotel room. I immediately loved the idea since I always had them in my kids rooms to keep track of all their small toys, and plan on using it at Disney. In fact, I am already using it to remember all the small stuff we need to pack for our trip in 30 days! Cameras, cords, batteries, battery chargers, etc will go in it...and I plan to assign a specific pocket for photopass cards, one for room cards/park tickets, one for receipts, etc, etc so we can empty our waist pouches into these each night and re-fill them for the next day. We might even bring two, one to hang from the rod by the sink for toiletries, etc and one for the other stuff! I am NOT an organized person naturally so hope this will help!

Now THAT'S a great idea! It improves on my "parking spot" plan! It's like the one I take on vacay all the time, only I usually use a vertical sweater/shoe type one in the closet for lack of drawer space.
