We are going to Disney in May '07 w/our family and my sisters family. Age of all of the kids at time of travel will be: almost 4yr (boy), 3yr. (girl) and two 1yr. old girls.

We signed up for the "Chef Mickey" and the "Cinderella's Royal table" for a character dining experience. We will only go to one, but will decide which one as it gets closer. They both have a 24hr. cancellation policy.

Any suggestions as to which one is better and/or worth it? Obviosly the Cinderella one is much more $$. Just looking for some suggestions.

thx.!

Check out the dinner menu for each restaurant and decide which is better for your family. I really thought I wanted to do Cinderella's table until I looked at the menu and realized my kids would not like the food. For the $ amount you pay you need to like the food. Just my opinion.

Have you looked at Crystal Palace? My kids love it here and we go everytime we make a trip. Pooh and Friends would be great for the ages of the kids.

Just a suggestion - Ashli

I agree about the food.

The food at chef mickey's is better, more of a choice.

however, it's very cool to eat in the castle especially if you have 8am adr's then you will be in the park right when they open.

Another thing to consider is that Chef Mickey's is a buffet, and meals in the castle are table service. Depending on how you work it the buffet could be your best friend or your worst nightmare! I find it's a lot of work on DH and me (now my girls are older, so it's not so bad - but when they were young - OY!) With kids that young you probably won't see your spouse for most of the meal - one will be up waiting in line while the other is with the kids - and then switch!

I've only been to breakfast at the castle and just loved it each time - but I don't know about the food at the other mealtimes.

We also had a great character experience at Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom - thanksgiving style dinner with great character interaction. Mickey is not there, but the rest of his friends are. The best part is it's table service, so the food AND the characters come to you.

Have fun planning!

LOL I was just going to suggest Liberty Tree Tavern (in Magic Kingdom)! We've done this meal twice and been pretty happy with it. Both times Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale were there and both times several of the characters stopped by our table twice!! Most recently both Minnie and Goofy visited us a second time for extra hugs and pictures which was a nice surprise. Some places you feel as though the characters are rushing through, not the case here. The food is pretty good too - family style with turkey, flank steak (which we didn't like LOL), pork, stuffing, mashed potatoes, veggies, mac & cheese, good salad and rolls and a delicious apple cobbler!

FYI... What I booked was a 10:20a breakfast at the CRT and a 9:30a breakfast at the Chef Mickey (different days, obviously).

LOL Ok, when I answered your post, I think I went veering off in another direction!! Sorry about that! You were looking to choose between the two meals but I went off into what other meals there are out there! I guess I was suffering from Disney-itis last night! LOL

Ok, I've never done Chef M's for breakfast but I do hear that it's pretty good.
