Chef Mickey's worth it?

We just booked our trip today for end of October, so I immediately tried to make some reservations. The only time I could get Chef Mickey's was 7:20 AM on our first day there (we arrive around 9 the night before). In order to make this, my kids will get less than their usual sleep. But they love Mickey and Minnie, and my daughter is especially obsessed with Minnie right now. Is it worth it to cut their sleep short? We are not staying at the Contemporary, so we will have to wake them before 6, and it's entirely possible they will not be asleep until 10. For kids 2-6, that's obviously nowhere near enough sleep, and on their first trip ever to Disney World.

So for those who have been to Chef Mickey's, is it worth it? We have nothing else planned/schedule between that and an early dinner reservation so we could return to our hotel for a late morning/early afternoon nap or could push through and go to bed early.

Thank you! That's exactly the answer I hoped to hear (that there are better ways to see Mickey and Minnie). I was doing the math, and we would have to get up so ridiculously early.

Thank you! I read this and immediately went to the reservations. I was able to get a reservation at Cape May Cafe for a more reasonable time on the morning we leave. I appreciate both of your insight/suggestions.
