A friend and her family are going to Disney in Dec. and can't decide whether to spend the extra money for the Holiday party.

Anyone participated in it before and if so, was it worth the money you spent or can it be skipped?

Can it be skipped? sure, since it's after hours and a separate even you wouldn't know what you're missing so it could easily be skipped. It's not like walking by something and choosing not to do it. Should it be skipped? hmmm that's the hard question to answer. It really depends on a lot of things

This year will be our fourth visit to WDW during December....and our fourth time attending the Christmas party. We think it is not to be missed! We are a crazy family that will do the park all day long and then stay for the party, but we are not the norm. I would definitely do the party on an off day from the parks, if that is an option.

The only negative experience we had was the year it rained. Fireworks were cancelled, the parade was cancelled. It was a bummer. We still had a fine time, but we didn't stay until the party was through.

Oh my gosh! Those are the exact dates my friends are going. What day are you doing the party?

I am not sure! We just booked the plane tickets a few weeks ago, and I made hotel reservations last week. We are "last minute" Disney planners.....every year. :)

My best guess is Monday or Tuesday, since those days probably won't be a big draw for FL residents making a one-day trip. My vote will be Tuesday, but I may be out-voted.

If your friends haven't been in December before, tell them this is an AWESOME week. It will be our third time at WDW this same time. I am ruined for any other time of the year!
