Current status of Toontown?

Does anyone know if anything in Toontown has closed yet? I was thinking that when they first announced the expansion plans, some of it was predicted to be closed already by the time we go next week, but I haven't heard any announcements of anything closing yet. So I'm hoping we'll get lucky and it will still be intact. DD was especially upset over the possibility of not getting to meet the fairies! Anyone know if they are still there?

Also, I though I read that part of the Castle was closed or covered up recently - is it still? This is the first trip for my 3 DN's, so I'm hoping MK isn't too construction filled!

Any knowledge or observations from recent visitors would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks - that sounds like about the best news we could have hoped for! We met the fairies once before (at Christmas time) and had to wait over an hour, but it was worth it, so I'm sure we'll brave the line again. Now if the next 6 days would just hurry up and pass!!!

Jaime, Did you see this article on AllEars???

http://land.allears.net/blogs/debwills/2010/05/magic_kingdom_walk_around_1.html

It will give you a good idea of what to expect this time around. From what I've heard (a good friend just returned from her 4yo and 2yo DD's first trips) is that if you don't know what to expect you won't really notice a huge difference. Of course, your DD will probably notice but hopefully the others you are traveling with will not.

Thanks for the link Melissa, there sure are a lot of walls in Fantasyland!

I'm glad most stuff is still open though. We will definitely try to make it to Toontown right as they open on our first day to see the fairies, which will only give us about 45 minutes there before we have to head out to our lunch ADRs. But hopefully we can come back later in the week with more time.

Can't believe our trip is so close, less than 48 hours till we leave, and almost exactly 48 hours until we arrive!!!
