dark rides, glowstick?

I'm wondering if there would be any problems if I carried a small glow stick in my backpack into darker rides just in case my 2 year old gets frightened? I thought this would distract him from crying but I didn't know if it would be frowned upon by cast members? Anyone have any experience with this?

None of my other children have ever been bothered by the darkness in attractions but I could see him possibly getting scared.

Thanks!

I'm VERY prepared with the glow sticks. I bought a ton for next to nothing on clearance back in September. I don't really mind using up a bunch at the price that I got them for. Plus if he loses one it's not a big deal at all because of the price. Thanks for posting I'm now not to worried about someone saying something to me for using them in the attractions that are dark.

I'm pretty sure one of my books actually recommends this so I'm sure you won't get "in trouble" for doing it.

Try the check-out counter at Wal-mart...ours has keychains and some you can attach to your hat (????...why?, I'm not sure).

Would the glowsticks last very long?

I've used mini-flashlights (2-packs at Wal-mart for $2), but our favorite was by accident. I'm not sure if the dollar store or Wal-mart (party section) still sell them, but those light up necklaces that light up when magnets are put together. Aly got a Cinderella one for her birthday one year and we went the following week. Even the princesses thought it was cool. And that was right before it got really big (when all stores were selling bears, and hearts, stars, crosses, etc).

Also, in a pinch I've used my cell phone - just be careful not to lose it!
