Since we are cruising in November I want to get all our cruise attire now before warm weather clothes are gone!!!  Has anyone cruised Disney since the relaxed the dress code? Gabi and I will wear sundresses because we have a million but DH is really a shorts guy... Will he be okay in nice shorts and cotton polos for dinner most nights?  What about the semi formal night? Will kahki's do or does he need dark dress pants? I can make him wear a suit buuuut he won't be happy if he is the only one in one, lol. Thanks

I don't have an answer for you, but I am sure interested to see what the response is!  I still want to do DCL next summer but haven't booked it.  I have GOT to do that soon!!!

BTW, Meredith and I were able to go to Disneyland for 1 day!  I will post a trip report soon Smile

I would LOVE to hear about DL! I am trying to convince DH to do Southern California in 2016 for our tenth anniversary but he is worried Anthony will still be too little to fly that far without getting antsy.  He might be right but I am willing to try, lol.

I wound up contacting my travel agent, we booked with Mouse Fan, and she said yes to polo shirts and khaki shorts so I am happy! I just ran up to the Gap outlet and grabbed a few new polos for DH that I will tuck away until then...I know there is a good size group of people who claim Disney should not have relaxed their dress code but we are thrilled by it!

Ooh, I want to hear about DL too!! We've had a trip planned and booked to go there twice, and both times ended up canceling and doing WDW again instead, lol. Someday though. It's actually much closer to us, in fact we could even drive if we were feeling ambitious. Glad you got good news on the dress code! DH always wants to err on the side of being overdressed, then I feel like I have to dress up too. But on vacation, I say the more casual the better :) We *might* be doing a short DCL trip in 2016. I totally think Anthony could handle the flight to Cali! You could always book it with a connecting flight and long layover halfway through.

Hey Melissa! So excited for you! Would love to book a cruise - have to work on my DH; the relaxed dress code would definitely be in the "+" column for him (he hates wearing suits for work so forget about on vacation!). Have to catch up here so I can read about the rest of your plans!!

I promise that I am going to do my *sadly* one day DL trip report.  On the plus side, I got to go to DL LOL!  We are at the beach now, go home tomorrow, then have to get Mitchell ready for a 23 cross-country trip.  Once he is off, THEN I can write it Smile

Melissa, great news about the dress code!  I like to dress up but not suit and tie kind of attire (well, dress for me lol!).  I'm sure Ken and Mitchell both will like the more casual wear.  Meredith and I will still probably wear dresses Kiss

I love reading that DCL has relaxed their dress code.    We have a DCL cruise booked for 2015, and thinking of one for 2016.    My DH didn't like the whole suit/tie set up last time we did DCL.     Of course he'll have to get over it when we cruise with Princess still.    I sure hope the casual dress catches on more with cruise lines.   Especially with the airline cost for luggage.

I would love to read more about DL too.   Not only is it fun to read about other people's adventures. . .sigh. . .and live vicariously.  But it is also a help in trying to think of places to visit in the future.

Funny so many of the DH's are more casual. :) I'll let you all know how casual things are...

Deb, I totally agree about the reasons that make trip reports so great. I love feeling like I'm there with the writer but also love getting ideas for future trips!
