Disney in February???
Wed, 01-27-2010 - 8:59am

We have been planning on going to Disney World next year (2011) for a while now except we were thinking about going late September or early October. My dad came over yesterday to spend some time with my kids and we told him to make plans because we are planning on going to Disney next year and the kids would love for Papa to go with us. Papa said that we could go during speed week (he is huge in the dirt track racing, goes every weekend and a lot of times even goes out of state), he has wanted to go to Florida for a while now but something always comes up and he can't go. So I ask when speed week was and he said its in a couple of weeks, so sometime in February.

ANYWAYS, I said all of that to ask these questions.

1.) How is the weather in February? I know its always changing but on average whats the average high/low? Does it rain alot? etc.

2.) How are the crowds during February? Average wait times for rides/character meets/etc? I'm guessing we would go the early part of the month but I'm not sure on the exact dates yet.

3.) There will be 3 adults and 2 kids (2.5 years and 18 months) where could we all stay in 1 room? I know we could get a cabin or stay off property (which I would rather not do).

Thanks in advance!

GF can accomodate 5 guests in a regular room . GF actually can provide "full size" (still small) cribs upon request, so thats better than a pack and play. I cant remember how big the crib was. We only got it when Dd was 9 mos old---siince then she just sleeps in the bed with us (only when on vacation!).

We went the second week of Feb last year. We had GREAT weather. Sun, low 80s. PERFECT. The week before had been freezing though

Definitely avoid pres. weekend.

We thought the crowds were ok. I felt that early may the year before had been better, but maybe that was just perception.

I checked the "average high temp" in February recently, and I think it's about 72.
