If you can arrive the 17th you can get free dining. There are lots of fun things to do! Are you going to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party? It is terrific!!! Its being offered November 18, and 27th if you can arrive earlier or stay later! Table Service meals may be hard to find this late (They are usually booked 180- days out , but there are still lots of less popular places to eat, and there are TONS of quick service places to eat!

The Candlelight Processional is great as well! It starts on the 25th, and dinner packages are available. Actress Mira Sorvino will be narrator at that time.

The Oscorne Lights are ongoing, no reservations needed.

Have fun!

Thanks so much!!

I love Disney!! It was so magical the first time that we took our kids there, and I am glad that we have those memories. This will probably be the last time we go there as a family since my kids are 14 and 12. :-(

I'd recommend Buena Vista Suites (great location, free breakfast) or the Hilton at Downtown Disney (only non-Disney hotel to allow you to use EMH). Also the Buena Vista Palace. (We stayed there our last two visits to DTD - nice hotel, good price!) Or even the Dolphin often has good prices. Our criteria is at least 3 stars (because the first time we went we stayed at a real clunker in the name of saving a few bucks!) and at least 4 out of 5 on Expedia reviews. Plus close to the parks. That will get you a good hotel!

I've never been to any of the Christmas stuff, so no help there. (Hopefully this year, after we get our Florida resident annual passes - woohoo!!!)

M'Shel, yes, we moved just a few weeks ago. We're in a rental right now but are purchasing a house that closes mid-October. We can't wait to get settled!!! (And maybe I should have done an "I moved" post, because people keep asking in different threads. :) )

I would suggest staying on property if you can, extra magic hours are so worth it! I also love seeing all the the other hotels decorated in holiday fare! Love Disney at this time of year!
