Do they ask the age of your child?

Our child just (just!) turned 3 and we are going to pass her off as 2 at the MK (she is small for her age, which is good). How in-depth do they get with the age-thing -- do they ask the child how old she is?

Anybody else experience this?

Many people may flame you for just asking that question (and me for my answer), but here's our experience.

Yes, they will ask. In a sweet "How old are you princess?" kind of way. I never tried it myself nor would I ever recommend passing off a child as younger than she is. It's not worth the embarrassment if you're caught.....and you will be, unless you can coach your little one to lie, which doesn't seem like a good idea for many reasons.

I've been on both sides of it.

thx. for your replies. You're right in that I know some people will flame me for asking this question - but it's one of those that I'm sure some people want to know and are afraid to ask. I'm sure we're not the first one's to consider this.

I think it was a great question! I loved the response from the girl in Orlando.

I thought it was a great question also. I'm sure there are tons of people who try it, but my kids are SO proud of their ages that I wouldn't dare risk it. I have some pretty chatty-cathy's who love to talk about their birthdays months in advance and for months after, so this route would never work for me :).

We were there a week and a half ago with my 25 month old and no one asked us (or her).

We were there in March & the only time we were asked was @ breakfast buffet in MGM's H&V. We left Disney the day before my son turned 3.
