Do we *need* a reservation for BBB?
| Mon, 04-02-2007 - 11:35am |
I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the BBB. We want my daughter to have the experience, for sure, but we're not sure of exactly when we'll be going to DTD. We may be going there the day we arrive, but it depends on how the drive goes (we're driving from NJ) and how tired we are.
I was wondering if we can just walk in and get her hair done (we're looking at the basic package, probably) and if so, is there a better time of day to do so?
Thanks!!

Well, my girls were there in the off season (first week of December), and the place was packed. It's not very big - I think about 10 sylists, and even the basic package takes quite a while. They do not rush kids in and out at all.
My gut says that, yes, you should make a reservation....even if it's not technically necessary. There is always the off chance there will be an opening on the fly though. If you want to go that way, just don't tell your daughter about it. Give it a shot, and if there's no openings, she won't be upset.

We were there last week. We did make reservations about 1 month ahead of time. We went over Spring Break so it was peak time. I was surprised at how booked-up BBB was. We had tried for different days, but they were unavailable. When we arrived to check in at BBB, there was a mom in front of me that was a drop-in. They gave her a pager and told her that they could fit her in, but it might be a bit of a wait. However, it turns out they got her in very quickly.
Hope this helps!
We needed one last month. It was jam packed with pretty princesses! Awesome experience!

Thanks, ladies, for the advice! I have taken it to heart and have made a reservation for the evening of our Animal Kingdom day. A friend told me that we should be able to get the whole park done in a few hours and we should be able to do DTD that night.
I am doing the Crown Package... but boy was it tempting to book her for the works!!! She's only 3, so we'll save the big time stuff for when she's a bit older!
A CM gave me a tip last time we were there to buy the outfit in the store using my Disney Visa or Passholder discount of 10%, because the discount isn't good in BBB.
