Double Stroller: Tandem or Side by Side?

has anyone traveled to DW w/ 2 young ones requiring a double stroller? If so, did you take a side by side or front to back double stroller, and what was your experience w/ it?

we have both styles of double stroller.. i was originally thinking i'd bring the side by side because it is much lighter than the tandem, and it seems the girls like to sit next to eachother these days now that the baby is out of her infant carrier. i just feel like it will be a PITA having to frequently fold up the big front-back double, which is pretty heavy (graco duoglider), plus having to bring the extra visor for the front seat, which is pretty big.

BUT.. i don't know if the parks/entrances/monorails/buses etc will be amenable to a side by side.

any thoughts??

We took a side by side 5 years ago, and it was a pain! people getting on the Disney transportation were NOT pleasant or understanding about a couple with 4 kids under 6 with a double sroller. We're taking 2 single strollers this time, we'll have 3 adults so splitting up won't be a problem for us.

I have taken our double jogging stroller. It fits on the ferry fine and the monorail they direct us to he handicap car with the extra wide door. I have gotten it through some gates next to the turnstyle, or if not we just have the kids jummp out and lift it over the gate.

Our first trip we took it on the bus with us the first day, second day DH didn't want to push ahead and ended up not making it so we all got off and just drove since parking was free for us anyways (we had just bought our annual passes). We stopped using bus transportation after find out parking was free for us.

DH does like the tandum better because of the croweded sidewalks around parade time, etc. But I like the side by side better. I don't care that it's wider, the kids are more comfy!
