Early check in/check out?

Someone asking this just below reminded me of the questions I have. From what I read then, can we check into All Stars Music at any time on arrival day? Great that we can leave luggage with Bell Services, I was wondering that too! Now, I know rooms are supposed to be ready by 3:00, but has anyone had any experience with rooms being ready earlier? (Or later, for that matter?!) Can anyone tell me more about what I can expect on our arrival day? I know I'll be tired after the red-eye flight, and want to figure out how I'll deal with my 9 year old's probable giddiness and wanting to go to the parks right away! Even though our flight arrives by 11am and we have all that afternoon, I'm still thinking I don't want to attempt a park until the next morning... MAYBE Animal Kingdom just for a couple of hours but without an "agenda" - just for taking things in slowly and probably seeing a show (Festival of the Lion King, or maybe the Nemo Musical) BUT not counting on it...It's a hard one to figure out because it seems like, with our flight arrival time before noon, depending on how ME and check-in goes, even after settling in (depending on when we get our room I guess) and swimming, etc...we should still have plenty of time to do SOMETHING else before bedtime! AK seems like the natural park to pick because it closes early and so we wouldn't be tempted to stay through closing and then regret it LOL (DH and I are both likely to do that!) So can anyone share their check in experience just to help me figure this out?? TIA!
Also, I read somewhere that one can check out as early as 5am? And leave bags again with Bell Services. Is this true? Our departure flight isn't until 6pm and again I find myself with too much time for just packing/swimming/hanging out at the resort (as we would normally do)...so this morning we'll have our "Choose favorite park, repeat favorite rides!" day ...only, we'll have to be back at ASMu at 3pm for ME (at the latest). In order to maximize our park time on that day, I'm going to TRY and pack everything up the night before, and be ready to check out in the early am. Is this doable?
Thank you all!

No worries - the All Star Music resort will store your bags for you either way....whether you get there before your room is ready or have a gap between check-out time and Magical Express. We did both last December, no problem. We got to ASM, stored our carry-ons (our room wasn't ready - it was about 11 am), and then went to Epcot. Came back to our room later that evening to find our bags waiting for us....both the carry-ons AND the checked luggage. So nice! On the way home, we took our bags to storage in the morning, headed for the parks, and then retrieved our luggage before our ME ride showed up. We flew on Airtran, and at the time we had to check our own luggage at the airport on the way home.
I love your AK plan that first day - so you are not tempted to stay too late. VERY SMART! I will have to copy that one next time. ;)
