If your parents back out again are you still going to go?

If the answer is yes then I would definately book 2 rooms. Your whole family can do a family suite at the AS Music, and your parents can get a standard room. That way if they back out, you still have plenty of room for your family -AND- the financial aspect is eaasier. You pay for your room/package, they pay for theirs, no trying to figure out 'portions'.

You can do connecting rooms at any resort - value, mod or deluxe. If you do connecting rooms for the 8 of you, you'll want to put you as the lead on one room and your dh as the lead on the other that way if your parents drop you will still have both rooms in your name. Or, if the liklihood is extrememly high of them backing out you could book the two rooms in your name -without your parents- and then as soon as they are commited and there's no turning back, add them to the reservation. If there are more children than there are adults Disney will garuntee adjoining rooms.

As nice as the space is in the 2 bedroom DVC properties, unless you're willing to foot the bill for that yourself, I wouldn't commit to it.

Hard to say. There are a few weeks in Nov/Dec that teh suites are booked, but others that are open. Most of May and summer is booked, but if you happen to have the right configuration of dates it will show availability. I think the only safe thing to say is that if you want a Family Suite you should book it as soon as you can. They haven't been available for any of the discounts since they opened, so that wouldn't really play into waiting to book them.
