Fast passes...President's Day wknd!
Sun, 01-31-2010 - 12:28pm

I'm I didn't realize the weekend we are going was President's Day..GO FIGURE!!! As I read on will be pretty busy....soooooooooo I'm in need of advice on what's the best way to use the fast passes??!!?!?

Our group consists of 2 five year old girls, 2 three year old boys, 2 one year old girls and 1 five month old girl.

We are going to Magic Kingdom on Valentine's Day...we have reservations for a character Breakfast at 930am...after that we were thinking of heading straight to the tents to see the Princesses...That will probably take up most of the morning....sooo...for rides (I know especially for the Dumbo Ride we should try to get a fast pass)....but how do they can I make it a most enjoyable day with so many kids so young & TRY OUR BEST to avoid the LONGER lineups that weekend?!?!?!?

It's a first visit for 3 of the 7 kids so I'm not sure if we should skip the parade & line up for Princesses there usually only 1 parade during the day then 1 at night?!?!? I've been to Disney many times but I'm no expert...What areas should we concentrate on & what should we see or NOT SEE?!?!?

We're leaving this Tues so hopefully some of you will be able to give some sound advice!!!

thanks so much...soooo very excited!!!

Laura (mom to 4)

ps...we are debating between Animal Kingdom (closes at 6pm) & Hollywood Studios (closes later than AK...not sure if it's EMH) on President's Day Feb 15....what do you think is better?!?!? We are also going to be there on Feb 16 but we have the 1900 park Fare Cinderella dinner booked for 430pm so I'm not sure if it'd be worth going to a park that day...what would you do?!?!?

I just wanted to throw in the suggestion of carrying snacks, small toys, or have games in mind that could be used while waiting in line with the kiddies. Even with fast passes, it can still be a wait and nothing is worse then kids getting antsy while waiting in line.

Other then that, PP gave some great tips!! And don't worry, as crazy it may be, it is all doable. My family went in July, and we still managed to have a great time despite the heat and crowds!

Oh, and I think you could swing going to a park on the day you have the character dinner. I think that'd be a great day to do Disney Hollywood Studios or even doing another day at Magic Kingdom (if you have the addition of a park hopper). It was the least favorite of the parks for my three year old, so it wouldn't require a full day but I know she'd enjoy the Playhouse Disney if we had had the chance to see it.
