It won't be buggy in November. The nights will be cool (70-80ish?), possibly cold, but not very likely. The days will be nice (remember, I'm a FL girl! Used to the heat). I can't promise you that it won't rain though. Take it from me, camping in the rain at FW is MISERABLE! The 2nd time that happened to us we bought a pop-up camper. They use a conch-shell/lime-rock base at the tent sites, and we've found that no matter how we tarp over and under the tent water just floods us. Very shocking when the sites are built up, but the foundation they use seems to wick it right up through the tent!

You CAN get into FW in Nov. The place turns into a ghost town right after Thanksgiving weekend. It is not crowded at the parks either! If you are spending the $$ to travel across the country, THAT is the time to do it! If you come during or before Thanksgiving, you will spend most of your time waiting in lines. It's one of their busiest seasons. You won't have a prayer of getting a camping site until after. We make our res. the last day of our trip for the next year. The Christmas party at MK is definitely worth it, in case you are interested.

We pretty much camp because we couldn't spend so much on hotels, and we can't spend a lot on eating out. We just have quick breakfasts, take a packed lunch, and have something hot waiting for us when we get back. It really isn't that much work while we're there. Mostly prep. at home. We don't spend a lot of time at the campsite. We're there for the PARKS!!!! LOL!

Most people in our financial bracket never get to see Disney at all. IMHO, this is sooooo worth it.

The crockpot will be your very best friend! LOL! I also take a microwave and an office fridge. Not sure how practical that would be for you though. If you take frozen stuff, Publix supermarkets now carry dry ice. We have kept icecream and popsicles frozen for 7 days in August. Perhaps this would work for you

Well we aren't campers in the least, our cost-saving strategy is the time-share route, so we already have a full-size fridge & microwave, afaik.

Technically, Disney doesn't "let" you. You're not supposed to bring any outside food or drinks. BUT, even the security guards will usually let you through with it, provided you don't have a cooler that you're trying to drag in.

I've never been told to get rid of any of my food, but we actually packed sandwiches (ONE guard made a comment any of the days..and that was "Plan on being hungry?") and within a week of our trip, a friend of Sonya's had to throw out food TWICE on different days. That's actually the ONLY incident I've ever heard of where someone was not allowed to bring their food in.

And when we did it (or when eating snacks), we just eat on a bench or in a seating area (or in the car between parks)...not a restaurant's dining area. I've heard of people doing that and I think that's rude...sometimes you have to wait for a table in counter service restaurants even in the off-season with people eating FROM that restaurant--I'd be appalled at anyone with their own food eating at one of those tables.

I wasn't thinking of sitting at a restaurant's seating area, I never would even think of that.

I didn't think you were...I was just saying that some people do (and I didn't want it to sound like I do either).

We actually pull out the picnic, plates and all! We never sit where it's crowded, but we will sit in some of the little out of the way nooks. We always use tables, but since it's never really crowded when we go...not a problem. Nobody has ever seemed to have any problem with us, and we've had some of the performers join us. Then again, perhaps everyone's just used to us? We're almost permanent fixtures there! LOL!

I've never had anyone ask me to throw out the food. Usually the guards just smile and wink.

Exactly...either I get a comment or it's not even mentioned!
