We are Flying so no Car. Staying in Old Key West. SO if we plan to eat at The Crystal Palace or Ohana (Poly) early in am before the park opens how do we get there? It's at the opposite end of the Resort from us.

If the Disney transportation isn't running when before your ADR, you can always call a cab to take you (or have the front desk/concierge call for you).

what's the average cost of a cab to get you from Old Key West to MK?

Disney transportation does run early morning busses specifically for the ADR's before the parks open.Check with the concierge to double check the day before but you should not have any trouble getting to Magic Kingdom early.

We always use Disney transportation to get us everywhere. Always allow at least an hour for transportation - it doesn't take that long at all but factor in the walk to the bus stop, waiting for a bus (buses usually run 15-20 minutes apart - you might catch one within minutes or will have to wait longer if you just missed one), the trip itself which might only be 15 - 20 minutes, transfering to another mode of transportation (more on that in a minute) and the walk from the last bus/boat/monorail to the restaurant.

As Melissa said, there is always transportation available from the resorts to get you to those early morning meals. It's always a good idea to double-check with your resort - if the Front Desk is not helpful, go straight to the source - the transportation Cast Members at OKW.

While Disney transportation is fairly easy to use and is direct from your Disney resort to a Disney park, sometimes you have to do a little thinking ahead, especially if you're traveling from one hotel to another. There is usually no direct transportation from hotel to hotel (exceptions include the hotels on the Monorail lines and those serviced by the boats: Contemporary, Ft Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge; possibly even the Grand Floridian and Poly).

So you have to use the nearest park as a hub to make transfers - in your case, traveling from OKW to the Poly - you would take a bus from OKW to the MK and then use the monorail or the boat to get to the Poly. For a trip requiring this type of transfer, I'd give myself a little more than an hour - again it may not take that long but I'd rather be early than experience the stress of rushing and being late.

One evening we were running pretty late for a dinner ADR and had just missed our bus from the Beach Club to the Wilderness Lodge. Alan got a van/taxi to take us - I just looked over my trip notes and I didn't mark how much it was. I'm thinking it was about $10?
