If you could update Great Movie Ride, would you, and what would you think would be appropriate changes?

Most of this ride is great...not outdated at all, takes you through different genres of classics, but if I could, while I love both parts--there are 2 sections of Indiana Jones--you could put in something else on the first part.

LOL - unfortunately ever since they put up the big hat it's not hard to miss. Behind the hat is the gorgeous Chinese Theatre - in that is the ride. Before the hat was there you could see the theatre from

There's a Great Movie Ride??? :( Somehow, we missed it. The Star Wars ride was closed when we went there, so we spent most of the day moping around. Well, maybe not "moping" because you can't mope anywhere at Disney World.

It's not that I object to Alien (I don't like the movie, but that's not to dictate what movies have influenced the film industry nor what should be repesented), it's that it's a huge section, the animatronics don't even work any more...the Sigourney Weaver AA needs to be fixed (not Disney-quality anymore) and of all the times we've been on in the past 3 years, I've only seen (and I'm happy with this) the alien ONCE...that mechanism rarely works anymore (again, I'm okay with that...lol).

In comparison to the size of other sets in the ride, you could probably put 2 or 3 different movie scenes in this one section. At the very least, update the Alien section! It's so not Disney-quality anymore that it affects the ride.

Star Wars does have its own attraction, but then again so does Indiana Jones.

Sonya, I like your Wizard of Oz sequencing ideas.

For me, it's more that the Alien sequence just feels thrown in and out of place on the ride.

Tron (the one I watched as a kid, not teh one I took my kids to! lol) was groundbreaking for it's time and Disney owns teh rights to it (and the new one)

Matrix set new standards and did amazing things for movie-making. Same with Avatar.

Lord of the Rings is technically amazing.

I actually like Alien, but then again, I am a huge Geiger fan.

Yeh - Alien has got to go. It doesn't even fit with the rest of the ride. :-)
