How do they check the age?
| Tue, 05-02-2006 - 8:07pm |
At both Disney and Sea World, the ticket prices are age 10 and up for adult pricing. I don't like to lie, but how do they check? DS will be 10 in July and we are going in August. He is small and weighs less than 55 lbs. He could pass for eight.
Again, I hate to be dishonest, but I can't believe my little guy will be charged full price!
Thanks, all.

I didn't read all the responses in detail but here is my side:
My best friend's sister worked the ticket gate during her college intership at Disney. And from what she told me (this was about 7 years ago) Disney's stance is to not question the child's age at the gate. She said she had some obviously 5 year old children being carried in and told her they were under 3. Disney probably thinks of the ages as "guidelines" rather than set in stone (my opinion). I can't give advice for Sea World though.
If you buy the tickets in advance just buy the 3-9 ticket. I doubt anyone would ask at the gate and that way the child doesn't have to lie as he knows nothing about it.

Great one!
We went to a plantation home with Girl Scouts in March and they have BEAUTIFUL live oak trees. The tour guide said one was over 600 years old and then asked how we thought they know that. Of course, someone (high school Girl Scout) said, "You cut the tree and count the rings!"...He said, "Y'all are tree haters! That'll kill the tree!"...lol. (They count the number of limbs from an area and measure the length and the circumference of the limbs or something scientifical like that...lol).
