i've seen a lot of posts about this, but i don't know exactly how you get this or how it works. can someone indulge me and explain a little? is it something you order at one of the parks, or what? we leave in 2 days and it sounds like something i'd def want to do!

thanks! :)

In every park, including water parks, there are Disney photographers everywhere (usually in front of the great photo ops, like the Castle, the Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, etc., but also in other places like character meet and greets!). You just ask them to take your photograph, if they don't ask you first (!!), and they will give you a plastic card with a bar code, which they scan after they take your photographs. Save this card, and give it to every Photopass photographer who photographs you. There are places within each park (camera centers) where you can view your photos, but you can also access your photos from home via the internet. From there, you can purchase a CD or photomovie of your pictures, or order individual prints. I believe your photos are available on-line for one month.

Photopass is a free service unless you purchase photos. It's a great way to get photos with all of your family members in the photo. They can also enhance your photos with special effects (like tinkerbell appears in your photo, etc.)

Some photographers are better than others....my friends photos from Easter week were fantastic. Mine from last week stunk.

(in the waterparks, the photographer will give you a stretchy plastic wristband with a small photopass card attached. We only got one photo taken, but we saw people with several of these wrist bands on their wrists!!)

Hope this helps!

I wanted to add that alot of times we had to approach the photographer and ask them to take the pict, they very seldom asked up or approached us the way they do at other parks, it was nice not to feel like you had to avoid them if you didn't want a pict! And keep the card in your pocket! There are several rides that have your picture taken while on the ride then when you get off you find yourself on the numerous screens and stick your card in the slot under that picture and it is added to your card, I think we missed several opportunities from this, just not thinking when we got on the ride and our card was in the stroller!

And if you forget it one day you can always get another card and wehn you view them at home online you can add your cards together on one account (if you go with another family you can save money if you're buying the CD and combine them all on one if you want?!)

HTH!

Is there a list somewhere of all the rides where you can add your picture to your photopass card in the way you described? TIA!

I don't know if there is a list, but the only ride we saw where you could use your photopass for the picture without having to buy the picture outright was Test Track. We rode Mission Space, all of the coasters in all of the parks, Splash, Buzz (I think we rode every ride that has a picture available for sale) and didn't see any other photopass card kiosks at any of those rides. That doesn't mean they aren't there....we just didn't spot them. The one at Test Track is right there as you exit the ride, and you insert your photopass card right under your photo.

Thanks Marcy,
That's consistent with what I'd heard before about TT being the only one currently available, although your description made me excited to think there might be others more recently!
