Yes, be careful if you go the Travel Agent route. While there are many TAs who specialize in Disney Travel (Sonya being the best in my opinion!! LOL), there are many who "say" they know everything about Disney and don't have a clue.

I prefer to book directly through Disney; if a discount or free dining comes out, you can call and see if the discount can be applied to your reservation. I'm a control freak, and I like to do the legwork; I also like see those blue and white envelopes in my mailbox. If I was going to use a TA, I would use Sonya. She knows her stuff, and that's important!

Also, just so you know, your TA should not be charging you anything extra, their quote should be the same as you get if you price it yourself on Disney's website or by calling.

Free dining has not been announced for fall 2007, and no one knows for sure that it will be. If it is, you'll find out about it here and/or on Mousesavers almost immediately. If you've already made your reservations, you'll want to call as soon as possible to get the discount; there are only a certain # of rooms that it will be available for each resort and when they're gone, they're gone.

I agree with Steph that I would either book myself or, if using a TA, would book through Sonya :)

for airfare have you checked out the cheap airlines like jetblue and airtran also flying on a weekday like tuesday or weds sometimes is cheaper then flying on a weekend and the one year can sit on your lap.
