How much time in each park?

I know that everyone is different and it really depends on what you want to see and all - but realistically, how much time do you think is reasonable to allocate for each park.

Realistically, that could work for our family, however we prefer to park hop. Are you not getting park hoppers? Then, this seems ideal.

I know a few will say give MGM a shot, but if you're not getting park hoppers, this plan sounds much better. My first trip to Disney with MGM (my 2nd trip, actually), we TRIED to spend a whole day at MGM. We did EVERYTHING that was there at the time (1992) except Star Tours, and were completely done by about 3pm and this was in July. All the shows, all the tours, etc.

We are going to get the park hopper - but I thought it might be better to do one park a day and then go back if we want to.... How could I forget about MGM.... Thanks!

If you are going to get the park hopper, I'd USE it and park hop each day...even if it's morning at one park, take a break, then afternoon/evening somewhere else.

You may want to break AK up into 2 half days...I've never done it, but I'd think it'd make for a long day to do it all in one day. Same with Epcot. 2 days would be great, but that would make for 2 long days if you do Epcot only those 2 days. MGM is a half-day park at most with your age kiddos anyway. Then, MK could be done in 2 full days (IMO) without a problem, but WE always try to visit Epcot on each of our days anyway.

So, from your posts, I'm guessing you have 5 day park hoppers since you don't need tickets for DTD. Do MGM with another park one day (morning or evening depends on what you want to see...if you want to see Fantasmic!, make it an afternoon/evening park..if you want to catch ALL of the great shows, make it a morning since most shows shut down around 5...or you may want to take one morning to do all the attractions at MGM, then go back one evening for Fantasmic! only--afternoon parade may throw you off since the time for the parade varies by season...maybe with the morning or the evening day), do one afternoon AK and one morning AK, and then fill in with MK and Epcot.

Epcot is open until 9pm every night, AK always shuts down early, so one day, you may want to park hop 3 parks. Do something in the morning, then AK in the afternoon and Epcot that evening. 3 parks is pretty aggressive with kids and first-timers, though, so take that into careful consideration.

We had MGM for a 1/2 day and I really wish we had more time there. We came in that day and went to MGM and were there around 2:00 into the evening.

Our days are usually split into 1/2 days, but we end up with 2 full days for MK, 2 full days for Epcot, 1 full day for MGM and about 1 for AK. DTD we usually go in the evenings a couple of times, not a full day for us. BUT, we don't have girls and don't go to the BBB. If we have extra time, we just do whatever we feel like, but it's usually more time at Epcot.

Hope this helps!
