This is embarrassing to admit, but because we go every year, we start saving up for our next trip as soon as we get home. I always wait to book though so we can get a free dining package.

Right now I have my entire vacation planned except for which park on which day (only because I don't know the park hours.)We may not be traveling again until September of 2011 (although we're thinking of a 12/2010 trip too might be a possibility.) For that, I'm waiting to meet the little guy I'm having in September and if he's like my daughter was at 6 weeks we'll probably book a trip - I find traveling with infants really easy. Also, I've pretty much had my trip planned since I returned from my last trip, lol! We're creatures of habit right now with dining because of our kids age. In a few years when my kids are more vocal maybe things will change.

Discovery Cove is in Orlando - I'm waiting until my kids are a little older but I think it looks so fun!

I am in perpetual planning mode, which is why I'm never far from this board..lol.

But as for booking anything, I'm not usually able to do so until right before we go (could be 1 month, could be 1 week...last trip, I think it was 3 days prior, another trip it was the day before we checked in). Mike's work schedule is just so iffy, we can't plan ahead.

That said, I was playing around with some upcoming dates and I am getting availability at our chosen resort (well, ALY's chosen resort, definitely not MINE), Pop Century, every day between July 1 and July 12. Yes, that's including July 4 weekend.

Now, in 2008, we went in EARLY Feb for Mardi Gras and for Saturday night, the ONLY thing they had available was $500+ rooms (suites) a week out...I even CALLED to make sure it wasn't an online issue (actually, I call anyway because I usually use AAA discount...no other discount applies by the time we book). For the Sunday we stayed, we had to go with All Star Movies because it was the only value available (not bad, but we had already stayed here and wanted either Pop or All Star Music).

Tell me if that makes any sense....early Feb, only $500+ rooms available (then VERY limited availability next night)....July 4 a week out--I can book at a value.

My hubby doesn't know this, but I'm tentatively planning another trip to WDW in 2013.

We are going to Disneyland in September 2011, and we're already planning. We are going to start saving for it this month, and we're booking it as soon as the dates we want become available(August or September). I'm probably a little over the top with how into details I like to get with planning for this, or anything for that matter, but it's so fun! We're also going to be driving(29 hours + time for meals, breaks, etc.), so it will require a little extra planning!

Have fun with your planning, and have a great trip!
