Questions about itinerary! I took the advice I received and came up with this itinerary. I booked the meals, but was a bit disappointed that we couldn't get days/times that we wanted. I didn't realize that you have to make them so far in advance. We still have a month before our trip. I really wanted to do AK on Saturday and DTD on Friday, but couldn't get BBB for Friday. Please give me feedback as to what you think about what I have planned so far, keeping in mind that we are traveling with a 5 year old. I am open to changing some things. I know I can change Rainforest Cafe if needed and could also push back lunch time at The Palace if I do it very soon (something I have been thinking about doing).
Wednesday: Drive to FL, 2:30 check in @ timeshare, 4pm check in hotel, relax at hotel, eat
Thursday (dd's birhtday): Breakfast at hotel (included), 9am MK, 11am Pooh Lunch @ the Palace, continue MK, dinner with friends who live in Orlando
Friday: Breakfast at hotel, AK, 11:30 Lunch @ Rainforest Cafe, continue AK, hotel for rest/change clothes, Princess & Pirate Party at MK
Saturday: Breakfast @ hotel, 10am Timeshare tour, Lunch (somewhere), DTD, 5:30 BBB, 7pm Dinner at Grand Floridian with Cinderella
Sunday: Breakfast in hotel, check out 11am, drive home

My only concern would be getting from your 5:30 BBB at DTD to your 7 p.m. dinner at Grand Floridian.
I totally agree with Shay about it being tight from BBB to the Grand Floridian. If they are running late at BBB you will be late for your ADR. Could you change either time?

How old is your dd? My boys were 5 and 2-1/2 on our last trip, and they had plenty at AK for 1/2 day at least. The Festival of the Lion King show is awesome, make sure to see that if you go. There is also a fairly short Pocohantas show in the same area that is geared for kids, the Kilamanjaro Safari ride is something they liked, and it wasn't scary. The Conservation Station, you get on a train and ride to it, they have a petting area (mostly small goats I think), there were also a couple characters there at certain times. There is an indoor exhibit area, and a window that looks into the area where they treat some of the sick animals. You can watch that if there is anything going on. Dinoland has carnival type rides, the one that comes to mind is the Triceratop Spin, it's very similar to Dumbo, not scary at all. The Nemo show is in/near Dinoland also, it's brand new and gets pretty good reviews from what I've read.
We usually spend at least 1/2 day at MGM also. The boys like the Playhouse Disney show, the Voyage of the Little Mermaid (one small part may be scary for her, when Ursula comes out, didn't last long), there are characters to meet, the Muppet-Vision 3-D show, and near the exit of that is a place to meet Toy Story characters (assuming it's still there, we haven't been since 2005 but I haven't heard about it being closed). There is the Beauty and the Beast stage show that I still have yet to see, but it's supposed to be good too. Check on times for the MGM parade too, I think it usually runs around 3:00, lots of characters in that.

Well, if it makes you feel better, we went to WDW on our honeymoon with no plans at all, only a resort reservation. It was a good trip of course, but we didn't get to see much. We pretty much wandered around like lost people.
I'm all for planning now!
