Happy to hear you had a GREAT time! That's great you got the ticket thing all worked out. When we were there this past April, my then 14 y/o neice lost her room key two times! Her park passes were incorporated on her room key. My sister was furious! Not to worry. We went to the OKW lobby and they checked the computer and saw that my sister purchased one and they replaced it. It's nice to know Disney is on top of lost tickets and keys!

Great post! I'll piggy back some of your comments and try to not to repeat any of Sonya's:

Ear plugs--YES! And just to note about loudness, MK fireworks on Main Street between the buildings is noticeably louder (even more noticeable to a child with loudness sensitivity) than other places in the park. On our 3rd out of 5 trips was Aly's only problem with the loudness of MK's fireworks. Epcot's fireworks can also be loud.

For an easy stroller umbrella cover, use a tall kitchen garbage bag--poke holes in the bottom and turn upside down putting the handles through the holes. Can even just lift up the garbage bag while leaving it attached and let it fall back so that it's not touching your child.

Choose a backpack without a lot of pockets. I decided to bring a "comfy" backpack that I had, but it had loads of pockets (5 pockets on front & 2 pockets on the sides) and even though I only used 2 of the pockets, I had to have all of them open for the bag checks. Never bringing that one again!

Disney World/Sea World is the only place you'll catch me with a fanny pack, but, by golly, I'll have it! Wal-mart sells nice ones for $5.

I agree with the 3-D movies. While not a huge fan of Muppets, Aly did like them enough to watch them, so we went there on her first trip (not yet 3). It wasn't the things that I THOUGHT would bother her (Sweet'ums or whatever his name is, the cannon, etc), but it was the CUTE bug/bird or whatever he is that did her in). We've never attempted HISTA (I knew about the mice, lion, & snake) or ITTBAB (bugs weren't her favorite either), but we did do Mickey's Philharmagic when it opened (her 5th trip) and she LOVED it. She still won't try Muppets again though.

And I will second Sonya's suggestion on the WDW/DL Sing-Along Songs videos/DVDs...check your video rental place, or check out Toys R Us, they're usually pretty cheap there.

WOW! Thanks for all of the great information! My kids will be 4 and 7 when we go next year, but I'm definitely going to follow your tips! We went last when my ds was 3 and my dd was 4 mos. old. One thing we couldn't live without was the Baby Care Stations. We took a break there every 1 1/2 - 2 hours. I was able to change the kids' clothes/diapers, give them a snack/drink, and give them some quiet time to settle down and cool down. Our stops there were life savers! I'm not sure if they have an age limit or not, though.

Also, we purchased a lightweight double stroller before going. It was pricey, but has proven itself worthy of the cost many times over the years! It came with its own see through rain cover, which was nice. It was a custom fit and very durable, so it never fell off and fit well, and because the kids could see through it, they could actually ride inside while it was raining. We've also always bought and attached a balloon to our stroller so that we could easily find it after getting off of a crowded ride.

Thanks again for all of the neat info! I really appreciate it--especially the advice about the ear plugs.
