I'm so excited! I just put the down payment for our trip in May! We are going to stay at the ASMu Family Suite in May for 5 days/4 nights. AND.....we got the room at a discount!!!!! When I checked a couple of weeks ago, the passholder discount wasn't valid on the Family Suites....but when I looked tonight.........it WAS!!!!! We just went ahead and did a room only (had been thinking of getting the QSDP) because of the time constraints in getting it paid off, but I'm really happy! We're gonna put money onto Disney giftcards between now and the time we go for food and other incidentals. My DH and I have APs, we're going to buy his sister's 5-day PH ticket through my friend's CM discount, and my Mom will probably buy an AP before we go (if not we'll get the same as DH's sister for her). I'm so excited!!! This means we are actually gonna be going!!! YAY!!!

Yeah. It just kind of took me by surprise because on the PH site where the room discount is linked it says that it isn't valid on suites and 3 bedrooms....but when I went in to do some number crunching with DH the other night, it came up as cheaper than it was before!!!! I was so happy. With the discount and not doing the dining plan it makes it much more affordable since we have until we actually get there to pay it off, lol.
We're thinking about buying some Disney gift cards and putting $x dollars on each and each of us getting one to pay for CS meals...which is what we MOSTLY eat while there. We will have a few sit down meals that we'll do (haven't decided which yet, so haven't made any ADR's), and either have one GC specifically for those or use cash/debit. I'm really excited, lol. And I just went to the Disney website just to look at my ressie, and LOVE that if you are signed in, it shows how many days till the vacation on the main page!

My grocery store sells Disney Gift Cards in $25 and $50 amounts. Every Week I pick up at $25 one. We use them for tips (We are on the Basic DIning plan) and each of the kids get one for shopping, then I use the "rest" for my shopping. Its nice to not have to charge anything or bring cash with us. I just keep the stack in the safe and just bring a couple with us each day. Anything left over goes for "next year's" deposit!

Oh, that's a good idea! I'll have to keep that in mind and look for those somewhere. Our local Publix sells a bunch of different Gift Cards....I'll bet they have Disney ones, too. Thanks for the idea! And this would be a great way for me to be able to knock of the cost down for a future trip, too!
