Did you know that if you set up a free account, you can not only book on-site hotels and buy park tickets (& I think rent cars too), but you can:
1. Create itineraries with daily activities with spaces for notes, such as ADR Confirmation numbers and then print out daily planners
2. Create customized maps for the parks which you can either print from home or have mailed to you, with your favorites highlighted
The only thing I didn't like is that the map options don't show counter-service restaurants, only table-service options. We don't plan to do too many table-service meals; the 3 meals we're considering come to about $1000! Too bad we're not staying on-site, we'd have definitely signed up for the Disney Dining!

Hey Max-
The only problem I find about booking online is you can get more discounts on the phone. Like when I book @ 407-W Disney I tell them I am a FL resident, a pass holder & a teacher, then they will compare all the discounts & give me the best one. FYI great teacher discounts @ the Swan & Dolphin for those who are :)
Yes, I called today to make the reservation for dd for Dolphins in Depth, and the resrvationist ASKED me if I had anything that would qualify me for a discount for dd (who is paying for this herself!), and then went on to recite a list of choices. When I heard AAA I practically yelled into the phone lol. 15% off 150 is considerable for a college student!
I wonder if I can use the AAA discount toward the pre-paid dining reservations, Fantasmic! Package and Cinderella's Table?

I am not sure about dining, but it does work for hotel rooms! There are lots of great discounts people do not know about. How impressive that dd is paying for the dive on her own! You must be proud of your girls :)
I hope you video tape the dive. Have a wonderful trip.
We're staying offsite, at a hotel that's on the exchange list with our timeshare, so that's actually a minimal cost -- IMO, it's the best big-ticket value of the entire trip. The only thing I would have liked better would have been if we'd been able to GET an exchange hotel ON-SITE and added in the Dining Plan!
I am proud of them all, and she's my first "baby". All through junior high & high chool, she kept saying she wanted to go away to college. But she played around in her junior & senior years and didn't really apply for anything. At the last minute, March of her senior year, she applied for the one school she claimed she only wanted, & got accepted for Freshman Year. Then she spent the obligatory one year in the dorms and gave up free dorm life to live off-campus with her high-school boyfriend. He's in another nearby college. They both work to afford off-campus apt's., and both of them are maintaining good grades too. She is doing exactly what she wanted to, and she's doing it fairly well to boot. She rarely asks us for $$. She always has two part-time or one full-time job, so does the boyfriend. Now they'll be going into the end of their junior college year.
So dh decided to make this Disney trip the last big-family vacation, and we are paying for them for airfare. Hotel is included since it's a big unit, and rental car isn't anything I would do differently anyway. It's those table-service meals that are going to be big-ticket expenses, especially having to pre-pay the one. So we told her she'd HAVE to pay for the Dolphin encounter herself. I made the reservation for her using her cc info with us as the contact since they're always at school or work. She is finally getting psyched into going! It's now real for her ;D.
They told me up-front, no video/cameras allowed. Part of the package includes them taking a photo of her. And no guests either. They say it confuses the animals. There's also a limit of 8 for each group, and there's only one group per day. It starts at about 9:45 and takes 3 hours. They BRING a swimsuit (not wear it to the event) plus i.d., and she'll have to have my AAA card with her. They give her a wetsuit & provide showers and towels, shampoo, soap, etc., for afterward. I was able to get her into the LAST TIME SLOT for the exact dates we're going (Xmas week)!

Is the Dolphins in Depth the same as the Seas Aqua Tour? DH and DD are doing the aqua tour and they told me that I could take pics/video from the observation area. Just wanted to let you know that in case it's the same activity and you were looking for more photo ops of her dive.
Good luck with all your planning. Sounds like you've been busy!!
