Leaving for Disney-8wks pregnant...SAFE?

We are leaving for Disney in 5 days!!!! This will be our first trip and we are taking our little girl, Aubrie, who's 3. I planned this vacation back in January when I thought that the possibility of becoming pregnant was almost non-existant! Well...found out in May that we are expecting (great news)!!! So..has anyone ever been to Disney while being pregnant? I have felt very tired and have been completely out of energy this pregnancy. I have morning sickness pretty much all day but never actually get sick, just nauseous! I am a little scared to be going because I've never been before so I have nothing to compare it to. We had thought about cancelling but our daughter is so excited about going so we just couldn't. Thanks for your help!

First of all congrats on the happy news!!
Secondly, I've never been to Disney pg myself, but I know several others here have and they will give you lots of advice I am sure.
I was nauseous all day long for almost the whole of my pregnancy and it was the pits! the one thing I found that really helped were Sea Bands - those motion sickness wrist bands? have you tried them?
Just don't try to do too much, take lots of time to stop and enjoy where you are, drink lots of water (thus ensuring that you will at least have to sit while you take numerous bathroom breaks lol!)
Most of all have fun!

Congratulations on your good news!! How exciting--I hope you have a great & uneventful pregnancy(coming from someone who had 2 risk pregnancies, uneventful is GOOD in my book!).
We went to Disney when I was almost 12 weeks along w/ our dd. Our ds was 2.5 at the time. Be sure to drink plenty of water all day long(yes, you will have lots of bathroom stops-lol), & sit whenever you can. Snack a lot too--crackers, fruit, etc... I'm sure you won't be doing any roller coasters. If Pirates is open, just know that there is a drop(small one) at the beginning. I stressed through the entire ride b/c we had forgotten about it(obviously, no need to have stressed, but I did). Put your feet up whenever you can too(swelling w/ the heat & humidity, plus all of the walking).
Try to enjoy yourself & be sure to take lots of pictures--make sure you are in some of them too!! Let us know how your trip went later. Just take things slow & enjoy every moment--next time you visit you will probably have 2 kids who will be taking off & running through the parks:)!
Take care~Chris
You can also talk to your doctor about getting some antinausia medication. There are some great ones out there. Sometimes when it is really hot out even if you haven't thrown up yet you might just because of the heat. It is supposed to be pretty warm there but low humidity so I think you'll be alright. I am leaving for Disney tomorrow, and I am 7 months pregnant and have an 18month old. If you are worried about something happening while you are there, you can request a copy of your chart from your ob if you have seen one yet. Good luck to you, and just remember that you might be a bit tender in the belly area so definately use your best judgement on the rides that have the bars that go across. Pirates is supposed to be closed unfortunately, but there are still tons of things you can see. Good luck to you!
