Made all ADRs we were 8 NOW we are 11?

I made all our ADRs for our group of 8 for Aug and now we have become a group of 11.
So now my question is this, my parents and sis are the newly added 3, can my mom call and try and get ressies for 11 at the places I have already made ADRs for, and if they can accommodate 11 then can I cancel all my ADRs with my ressie # for 8 right after.
And if they CAN'T accommodate the 11 of us then can I just have her make ADRs for around that time for her, my dad, and sis?
OR can they just add 3 to mine w/o canceling out my ressies?

Is this confusing?

And since we are now considered a "grand gathering" (not making ressies for any of those special meals tho, we weren't considered a GG before b/c we have a child who is 2) do they do anything special?

Do you have a Grand Gathering # and are your reservations linked together?

There's a separate # for Grand Gatherings to call with ADRs. Not promising anything, but before calling DIsney Dine, call them and see if they can adjust yoru dining. Yes you'llhave to cancel what you have to make it 8, they can't just add it on, but the GG people have more experiance (in theory! lol) with it. If they can't get a party of 11, then yes, have your mom make party of 3 reservations as close to the time as possible and when you show up to check in together let the hostknow you are actually together and would like tables as near to each other as possible.

I called the regular disney dining number and they had openings and said they cannot guarantee we will be sitting all together at one table, we may be scattered among 2 or 3 but in the same area. Which is fine. Would it be great if we could all sit together at one table? YES, but if they can't do it then that's ok.

Also we only have 3 meals of all 11 of us together right now. The rest we are parties of 8, my mom, dad, sis doesn't want to do Whispering Canyon, coral reef, or teppan edo. So now I have to try and recommend other places for them to eat w/o me, my aunt and our kiddies.

Such confusion when traveling together lol!

When we've traveled with larger groups and have been told the thing about not being all together our tables have been within inches of each other and you could easily talk to anyone in the party. That's great that you were able to change your ADR's!
