This is my first post. I am going to Disney in November. We are leaving the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We are doing a grand gathering, it includes myself, dh, ds8, ds5, ds5, my parents and 2 sisters. Has anyone been to the MVMCP? I'm not sure if it is worth it. It is very expensive!

I went around the same time last year. I hosted a gaggle of 10 people. We enjoyed it. They have special fireworks, it snows on Main St, you get the extra ride hours, special souvenirs for purchase, and hot chocolate and cookies!

When we picked up tickets at will call they suggested we go to DOwntown Disney to save a day on our park hopper passes and just come back for MVMCP. We had already been to Animal Kingdom earlier, sot he info was too late, but if what they said is true maybe you can go your first night there and save your park hopper for the next day.

My family has been to the party 4 times now - we think it's wonderful! I recommend trying to go on a non-weekend day if possible. We like Tuesday. On the day you have party tickets, you can enter the park at 4 pm, so we usually spend that morning and early afternoon just hanging out at downtown Disney or at the resort. We like to purchase single-day tickets vs. hoppers, so that makes a difference in our case money-wise. We feel the party tickets are worth the price since we are there for so many hours. Cookies, cocoa, apple slices, juice, etc. in unlimited quantities are included in the price, as are special shows and parades.

We are more than likely headed to WDW again this December, and we'll be at the party. We've even toyed around with going twice during the week, we enjoy it so much. We are clearly addicted!

Have a wonderful trip. A grand gathering sounds like so much fun. Will you have matching shirts?

We went nt last xmas but the one before, it was totally awesome, and the earlier dates from what i hear are better not as crowded so the time your going would be perfect. the night we went in we went to the back of the park first went on 5 rides without any line at all, i was amazed, it was well worth the money, we hope to do it again in 2008. if you go get the times for the special parade and have a great time. littlebitt

Thanks everyone for their feedback. I think I am going to plan on attending. I'm really excited about it! I think my kids will love it.

Laurie- We are really looking forward to doing the Grand Gathering. This will be my husband's 1st time in Disney! I hope he likes it as much as I do. As far as the shirts go, no, we will not be wearing matching shirts! I think my DH and my sisters would kill me if I tried that! LOL!
