Mother/daughter trip finally booked!
Sun, 09-23-2012 - 3:50pm

Hooray!  I finally did it.  Meredith and I are going Nov. 8 - 11 and staying at the Polynesian.  I really wanted Beach Club or Boardwalk for the convenience to Epcot since that is where we'll spend the majority of our time, but it wasn't available.  I also had to pay rack room rates instead of the special :smileysad:  The good news is that I had enough Disney Rewards dollars to pay for the room!  I've never even been to this resort, so I'm very excited :smileyhappy:

Now I have to get our plane tickets.  They just went down today by $50.  Should I book, or wait to see if they go down further?  I'm not used to flying lol!  I'll also have to get some pointers about Magical Express as we've never used it.  I am thinking that we'll have to get a car to take us to the airport onthe 11th because I want to spend as long as we can at Epcot that Sunday.  There is a Discovery of Chocolate event until 4:15 that I'd love to attend, and the flight I want going home is at 7:05, so that's kind of pushing it.  Hmmmm.  Maybe we'll stay over in a value resort another night and fly out the next morning.  More decisions lol!

YAY, sounds like a great time & resort.   And here is another vote for staying another night at a value!  :smileyhappy:

I also find it hard to imagine flights getting any better.   It just floors me how bad they are, and the news has already said they are all bumping up their cost.    Good luck!

Congrats!! So excited for you (and jealous too!). Go for that extra night so you can enjoy that chocolate event without any worries :smileyhappy:. I too would jump on the airfare - you never know with rates these days.

(Sorry I'm so late with this - haven't been on the board lately!)

Yay - you booked it! How exciting!!! I mostly enjoyed the Poly, although I found it wasn't as "nice" as I'd expect for the money. But the location was great.

We still need to get to F&W, too. We will - definitely - at least I will if no one wants to join me. :smileyhappy: But we don't have dates picked out yet. Sometime in the next month, I guess! (My parents are coming next week for a week. I was thinking it would be awesome to take DH down to F&W while the grandparents hang out with the kids at home. But that probably won't fly. Just wishful thinking...)
