Hey thanks for your thoughts about staying offsite. I was just reading your additional comments. (I didn't want to take the other person's string if anyone wanted to further comment)

I know exactly what you were saying about DH I have the samething at home. I was tell DH about what you said and he did the samething he was very passionate about that discussion of staying offsite vs. onsite. He's just not a disney person like me.LOL I've haven't been there in 20yrs and I consider it my 1st time. It was so nice to see your comments about staying offsite. I was sooo worried that we would be missing out, but you reassured me that we could still have fun on a very tight budget! I can't thank you enough. . . so here is our tentative plan so far. We like keeping everything loose so we're not locked into anything particular and can change.
We would be traveling hopefully Februray 18-22 we will be driving from Upstate NY on 16 & 17 and 23 & 24. So we have only an interest in going to MK and it's going to be 1 full day. The boys (6 & 9) are only interested in certain stuff. No girlie stuff they tell me all the time! LOL Going to Tampa to see the Yankees spring training and beaches one day, Kennedy Space center & beaches another day and leaving a open day to do whatever we want. Eating dinners occasionally out if we feel like it or back at the condo, eating all breakfasts at the condo and probably packing our lunches (?) at this point. Not really on a timeline with them. When kids are hungry guess we'll eat. LOL

As to staying offsite, budget wise we just can't afford to stay onsite and get what we want. So with the Orlando Magic card we can get a 2br condo with full kitchen and pool for $69 a night. That comes with Queen or King bed in master, and twin beds in the other room. I thought that was deal. This way DH doesn't have to deal with everything being Disney but still close to see the fireworks from Epcot from balcony.

I would love to hear your thoughts and any additional comments or interests would be appreciated.

TIA
Julie

OOOOHHHH my is all i say. LOL I've it a couple times and still amazed at the information that just poured out! It's all good thank you again :) Please I'm sure there are some great restuarants any offsite recommendations would be great. WOW man we just miss by mer days. That's a bummer

I believe we are staying close to DTD, but won't know for sure when we actually get there. I cetainly hope so, the agent at ther condo rental place said they had several in that area. We haven't put our reservation in yet. Waiting to make sure we can actually to the trip during that time, winter fuel bill and all. After reading all the dining expiences on here about the menus and such DH and I have concluded not to bother with the restuarants and just go with some mickey ice creams, etc.
I had made a huge note/binder with disney information and tips in it )my version of the passporter! LOL I noted down the grocery you suggested, the strollers but I got a huge eye roll from the boys they thought that was for sissies. . . . boys i swear. I noted down the new price on parking, snacks & watere items into the parks, etc. I have gotten amazing tips from you and everyone else, things that aren't even in the books, kudos.
As to the rides I'm just not sure. Definately the POTC ride and haunted mansion since both boys love those movies. Dumbo I highly doubt, some of the othings you mentioned are great things to do and we can all do them. I'm so excited, I just can;t wait to go. I've been on pins and needles just hoping our trip goes through :P

As soon as I know more about the condo I'll let you know.
This has been so helpful thxs again

Thanks for Mex Restuarant tip it sounds AWESOME!!! I had to laugh, because of you caught on about the strollers will my 2 boys! That's a great idea about showing them a picture 1st of the stroller. But I think we might do just what you suggested and go with the flow...being as the boys are big sissies in all LOL
