Sonya, need your help! I am typing from work so I will make this fast. My brother just called, he is flying into Tampa on 11 May, Departing 14 May. We want a Disney (Value) Resort for the night of 11 and 12 May. He will need tickets for his family, not sure about a package or if he should buy separate. I will renew my family’s annual passes. We will need 2 rooms. We are going to Magic Kingdom Sat and Sunday, no park hopping. Shades of Green is booked! Can you please help?
This is who will be in the rooms. My DH will be away on business.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I just had a quick SOG question and I know you know about SOG. Do the SOG restaurants fill up like the other Disney restaurants? Do you need a reservation or can you just show up? If you need a reservation, is it done through the regular DINE number? What's your impressions of the 3 SOG restaurants, keeping in mind we have two rambunctious little kids?
Thanks for your help! Good luck planning your trip!

I think the food is okay. I wouldn't say it's great.
My kids love the buffet breakfase because they can make their own waffels. We have never had to wait to sit down for breakfast. We have made it a little tradition to eat here before going to the parks. Then the kids go drive the little remote controlled boats before we head out. We are early risers though. Not sure if we are beating a crowd or not. I like to be at the parks no later than 9 am.
Our last trip (March 17) we didn't make ADR and went to Epcot. The only place that could accomodate our party was Morroco (whatever it's called) and I didn't think my kids would like it. So we went back to SOG and at at the Manginio's resturant. When we checked in they said it would be a 15 miniute wait. And it was. They try to make this resturant all fancy, putting my napkin on my lap for me, etc. The food was again just okay (I had steak, kids had chicken fingers I think). The table we were at had chairs on one side an a sofa on the other. When I sat down at the sofa side it sat way to low for me to be comfortable, so I put the teenagers there, they did't mind. My kids were a little grumpy as well, but all around us was other families with kids too.
We have gotten pizza and wings from Evergreens. We have ate in but mostly DH will call ahead, then go pick up the order, bring it back and we will watch a movie in the room.
Overall, I love Shades of Green. I am very comfortable there and it more than fits our needs. The pools are nice too. We stayed mostly when it was too cold to swim, although others were swimming. We tried once, but even with heated pools the air was just too cool.
