Is it possible (and please be honest here!!) to have reservations as Chef Mickey's at 6:30, be able to eat (and enjoy) and make it to Spectromagic for the 8:30 time? I know, probably cutting it close IF it's possible, but I'm thinking a Tuesday show would probably be much easier than the Saturday show.

thanks

I don't think so. I had a 5:30 PS at Whispering Canyon the night of the 8:30 Spectro and the person at Disney reservations recommended moving it to 5:10 just to be safe. I figure an hour and a half for the meal, plus transit time to MK, then finding a seat. I hope to be in the MK no later than 7:30 to get a seat. We're doing this on a Saturday though, so the crowds will be bigger than on a Tuesday.

With a 6:30 PS, you probably won't be out of dinner until 7:30 or 8. Then it's a quick walk to MK. You could probably swing it, but it would be tight and too stressful for me. I'd hate to spend my character dining experience checking my watch. If you can't get an earlier PS at Chef Mickey's maybe try another place and do Chef Mickey's another time.

We're leaving on Tuesday and I'm so excited!!!!!

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think so, either, but I might try to move it back a little bit. We leave on Tuesday, too!! Our plane leaves early, so we'll get in Orlando before 10:00 am. I'm really excited!! Have you packed yet?

I just started a packing list. I also have a huge list of things to do before we leave. With all the planning I've been doing, you'd think I'd be able to just walk out the door. At least I know that everyone has clothes that fit them. I bought new shorts for everyone. I finally broke down and bought myself an expensive pair of sandals today. I have arthritis in one foot and I've been unable to find anything that feels comfortable. So I spent way too much money, but now have a very comfortable pair that hopefully will get me through this trip. I've been running lately, so my feet are a bit more sensitive than they were over the winter. I'm brining at least four pairs of shoes and am hoping I don't get blisters or very sore feet. I'm also making sure each kid has at least two pairs of shoes.

I went to Sam's Club and have a huge stockpile of food on my dining room table waiting to be packed. I bought tons of snack things. I got my sunscreen ready to go. Can't wait until Tueday. We leave in the afternoon and don't land until 7 pm.

Maybe I'll see you there.

Having stood in the back (against a store-front on Main Street) of the sidewalk crowd to watch Spectromagic, I would say that you'll need to stake your place at 6:30 - 7:00 to be able to enjoy yourself. My DD was five and DH had to stand with her on his shoulders so she could see. I was the one holding the camcorder (new 8mm small one, thank goodness!) above my head at arm's length. That was the only way to get it filmed. I've never seen so many people trying to get onto one street. THEN the fight to get near the castle to watch the fireworks! Good grief, it was like salmon swimming against the current...some folks leaving and some not. Melanie
