Need a stroller, is this a wagon?

OK, I keep going back and forth and just can't decide. We are going to Disney for the week of Halloween this year. My kids will be 5 1/2 and just turned 4 so we will definitely need a stroller of some sort. The oldest has already outgrown all the strollers we have (46 lbs) and the little man isn't far behind her LOL! We had assumed that we would just rent but I just checked rental prices and am rethinking it. We are heading into summer and that means tons of trips to the zoo, parks and Dollywood so getting something that the two of them could ride in would be helpful anyway. Currently, we just use a Step 2 wagon when we go to the zoo but obviously that would never work at WDW LOL!
I keep seeing this Fisher Price Kid Utility Vehicle.

The Disney website says no wagons and I can totally see why. But this thing fits within their stroller size limit (41x29) and would compact down if we needed it to. Would they consider it a wagon just because it pulls behind?

AND if this is considered a wagon, is there a double stroller of some sort that could carry 100lbs of kids... and still be comparable to the cost of renting one for the week?

Many thanks for any help!!

When we went in '05 when the kids were 3 and about 20 months. We took two strollers that time and it seemed to work out well. Neither of the kids were potty trained so we had diaper bags and all the gear to haul. We used our Graco Literider and the STS-1 from Leaps and Bounds. We wouldn't be opposed to that again but they are over the weight limit on both of them. Do they make compact ones that go to 50 pounds or so?

I'll check into the weekly rate. I thought I recalled the double size rentals looking like they could get in and out easily. I'll need to make a note to take something to attach to it so we can find it easier after rides LOL! I remember the seas of rented stroller and wondering how you ever told them apart.

8 seems like an in between year. Almost old enough to make it the whole day but still young enough to get worn out in that place. Heck, I'm 32 and it can wear me out pretty easily ;-)

I liked using two strollers the last time we went but that was nearly two years ago and they were much smaller. If felt more necessary then but I don't think we'd need it as much this time.

I never thought about parking it at each entrance area, that's a pretty good idea. We might try that too.

We did that once on the last trip. We accidentally left our son's Buzz doll in the stroller parked at Spaceship Earth. I was surprised that it was still there when we got back. But, ya know, it's Disney =)

We have a stroller for our almost 5 year old called a maclaren volo. it is kind of like an umbrella stroller but has the taller handles and a small basket and is completely made out of mesh and has a HUGE canopy. It goes to 55 pounds.
I got mine at Target for $99.

I saw that exact "Utility Vehicle" at WDW in December. They got off of the monorail with it, put both kids in it, and went in the park with it with no problems. I know because I was stuck behind them the whole time LOL. Not that they were in the way, just happened to be behind them in the crowd. They actually showed it off to some people who asked them about it. I thought it was a good idea. It looked neat and folds flat so that's really good. I have a bunch of strollers and

ooh that is nice! A bit pricey but if I only had to buy one and could use the STS-1 again for my 3 yr old that would work. I'll look into that one too.

Thanks!

I'm buying 2 $20 strollers, Cosco Deluxe Comfort Ride. It has a small canopy and basket, the basket is a must for us with 6 kids. Last time we went with 4 kids under 6 we took our side by side double, what a pain on the buses! We will save at least $60 by buying instead of renting and we'll need the stollers at the airport too.
