Hi all, I am very exitedly planning my very first trip to WDW ever!!!! It is be me,dh, and dd who will turn 5 while we are on the trip. It is her birthday surprise this year. We are planning to go February 21-25. I have read several posts on this board and I am shocked to see that this week may be a hectic week at WDW. I picked February because I thought it would be a less crowded time and my daughter has the week off from school (no other schools around us are out that week). I have read that the Pal Mickey is worth the money. I think I will set aside the money for it. We are staying off site and doing a time share tour. It is the only way we could afford Disney this year (room for $199 for entire trip and $100 off tickets works out to be a great deal for 2hours of our time). We have done time share tours before (not in Florida) and we are well prepared for that aspect of our trip. I would really like to hear any suggestions about activities at Magic Kingdom. We are thinking of only going there for the 1st two days and then doing downtown disney the 3rd day (day of tour). The other two days are for traveling back and forth to Georgia. I am open to other suggestions. I had thought about getting tickets for the princess and pirate party at MK. Has anyone been to one of these? How little kid friendly is it? Since admission is included with the party tickets should we try a different park on that day and then just go to MK for the party or do we really need two full days to see MK? I am not really concerned with trying to see all the different parks since it is our first visit and we only have 3 days. We live in driving distance so I am sure we will make a return visit. All advice is welcome. Thanks in advance!!!

I would plan a character meal too since it is her birthday. Crystal Palace or one with Cinderella.

Thanks for the responses. I will definitely tell them it is her birthday. I was thinking about getting her one of those $7 "Happy Birthday" crowns from Target, but I thought that might be too much.

Same here.. two boys so anything with princesses is out. I may have trouble getting them out of the Lego store. We have never been to it (don't know how I missed it) but planning to go there our first night at the world.
