November for Disney World?
| Mon, 06-25-2007 - 3:04pm |
I really would like to take my 10 year old and 13 year old back in November. I especially am interested in attending the Epcot Wine and Food Festival. Epcot was probably their favorite park. I love wine. It's a win, win. ;)
But I just read on Mousesavers that the entire state of New Jersey might go there around Veteran's Day because of the teacher's conventions? The site says the resorts might not be that busy but the parks might be. I was thinking of going like Nov 8-12 so the kids wouldn't miss too much school. They have the 12th off anyway.
Anyone gone that time of year have any input?
Thanks!
Tara

We were there one year during "Jersey Days" (as Ohioians), and I did think the parks seemed more congested vs. the second week of December, when we usually have our WDW vacation. Definitely not as crowded as our March and June trips though.
It would not stop me from going if those days in November were the only or best choice family-wise, but I would pick a different week if given the option. To us, it was a different kind of vibe during those days, and we were kind of cranky. However, if we would have had some wine.....well, the crankiness would have melted away! Not so smart on our part, huh? :)

Well, Tara, if it makes you feel better, I won't be at Disney during those days and I live in NJ - so the "whole" state won't be going! ROFL
