It looks like October 2013 is the only time DH and I can get off at once.  What are the odds that weather will totally spoil a stay in Orlando at that time of year?  Also, is it a good time crowd wise?  Kids will be 7 and 4.

Hey Gwen - we've never been in Oct but Melissa gave you some great info. I just wanted to also remind you that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party has dates during October. Again, we've never been so I can't speak from experience - others here have.

I think any time is a great time to visit Disney World! :smileyhappy: Have fun planning!

We've only been here one October so far. I think it rained a lot last year. No hurricanes to worry about, though. We traveled to Florida in September many times (for our anniversary) before we moved here and the weather was always great. Hopefully October will be just as nice for you!

We have gone twice in late October/early November, and I think the weather is perfect! I think one year it might have rained briefly one day while we were there. I think it's close enough to the end of hurricane season where it would be OK. -And the crowds aren't bad at all at that time of year!
