Well, dh looks like he is going on a business trip next month! You will never guess where he is going..........Yes you are right! So, I want to go with him! They usually send spouses but this year they aren't! I need help with a couple things.......

1. How hard is it to change plane tickets?
2. Is a trip to the world over four days worth? ***I'm not kidding anyone with that one.***
3. Is MCO the only airport that uses Magical Express?
4. Is touring fun on your own? **Yeah right who am I kidding with that one?**
5. Is January busy?
6. Where can I find typical weather for that time of year?

Can you tell I am hoping to go and am excited at the thought???????

I would be more than happy to tour the world with you...now if I could just figure out how to get there without DH or the kids finding out! LOL!

I don't think it is hard to change plane tickets, it just costs you.

We have done a 4 day trip and that was with 2 kids. A 4 day trip for adults would be long enough...since you have been there before.

MCO is the only ME airport.

Touring on your own would be a lot of fun. I am sure you will see things you have NEVER seen before. You can use your solo trip to find new things to share with the kids on your next family trip.

I would think January is slow.

Check weather.com for a history on the months weather for Orlando.

And...don't feel guilty about going without the kids. I am still trying to convince DH to go on an adult trip. I have pangs of angst about it because I feel guilty. Why? Don't know. We have been to WDW 3 times in 3 years as a family (and going again in 2007)...I think we deserve a trip alone...to enjoy the sites and eat a meal without rushing. And to be able to stay out late and get up early without whine!

Have fun!

Sarah

1. How hard is it to change plane tickets? - TOTALLY depends on the airline and the person who answers the phone. Generally it includes a fee (could be substancial)
2. Is a trip to the world over four days worth? ***I'm not kidding anyone with that one.*** - It's funny, when we just had Kait 4 days was great. Now with the other 2, 4 is no where near enough, but if it will be just you and occasionally dh I'd say definately.
3. Is MCO the only airport that uses Magical Express? - yes
4. Is touring fun on your own? **Yeah right who am I kidding with that one?** - I can see the good and the bad in it. The bad is basically only that you don't have anyone to share things with. The good is that you go at your own pace, get to explore the nooks and crannies and see things you usually say 'next time' to when you've got the whole family with you, eat wherever you want, not just somewhere that everyone will find something they like at and can you say 'single rider line'? lol
5. Is January busy? - The first weekend in Jan has the Marathon and half Marathon so that will effect travel time somewhat and resort bookings, but I don't think it has

Just weighing in on crowd levels. We were there for marathon weekend in 2004. While I heard the rooms were booked to capacity we did not see that in crowds at the parks. We're hoping for the same this year - heading down Jan 21 for 6 nights.

Ok, can you tell I am just a little excited/apprehensive? I just need to get all my ducks in a row. We will likely change the airport he goes home from because my parents will probably have the children. :) I am ready to go. Dh and I could use the time alone and what better place than there?? Now I need to figure out when I can get there, where I can stay and just have fun!!!!

As someone who always goes to WDW in less than 4 days, I say go for it.

Hi Shay. It looks like the trip will fall the same week as MLK Day. He will be there on MLK day. I would follow him later in the week. I just hope I can stay where I want to stay. :) I really need to get it moving don't I? I am waiting for the fairies to take all their notice back and say sorry, I was only kidding. Dh is really isn't going.

M'Shel,

Are you still going? I have my tickets now. The airline ticket was fairly inexpensive as well. :)
