Ok with all the new restrictions it seems you can't bring much in your cary on anymore, so waht about personal hygine items? did you just pack shampoo/mouthwash/makeup/hairspray and such in your main luggage and hope nothing opened up? any one ever have any problems with anything? any tips? I'm thinking of wrapping the stuff in towels and plastic bags? can you tell I don't travel much!!LOL!

Lots of ziplock bags! Bring smaller containers if you can and put everything in ziplock bags. Put some bottles in shoes in the suitcase, that gives it more protection. Save them all for the flight back, and even bring some extras just in case!

I always pack all that stuff in my main baggage, I put it in Ziploc bags, and try to stand it as upright as I can in side pockets or amongst other items.
I've travelled a lot and the not had any leakage problems, although my sister did once have a jar of homemade strawberry jam break inside her winter wool socks - those pips got everywhere ROFL!!

Yes -ziploc bags are the answer!!! Sometimes I pack a smaller bag just with shoes and toiletries. I wanted to mention though, that all of that stuff (shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, mouthwash...) can be heavy and airlines are getting more strict about the weight of the suitcase. Most airlines limit it to 50 lb. (I think) so if you are planning to load up one giant suitcase, think again! You will be charged an over weight fee, which could easily be $50...it's no way to start a vacation - trust me - I've been there ;)
And speaking of ziploc bags...I even pack my daughters outfits in them! Shirt, shorts, underwear, socks....just grab a bag and get dressed! I have four DDs, and it keeps us moving in the morning. Two of my DDs don't care what they wear, so they just pull something out and put it on, but the other two need to go through everything before they make a decision, so it works great for everyone.
Have fun planning and packing!!

I love the "outfit in a bag" idea and plan to use it for DS *and* DH and myself - possibly even go completely obsessive and bag our three outfits together, with a label for each day LOL Figure with all those rope-drops we'll try to make, every extra minute of sleep counts!
We're also planning on bringing cereal bars, etc to eat in the room in the mornings. And I'm using someone's idea of hanging a shoe organizer (those with the clear pockets) for all the things we'll need to put in our "waist packs" (we don't like to call them "fanny packs" :) to take to the parks each day.
Other than that, it'll probably be down to DH's coffee routine (DH is so particular about his coffee, he probably won't just do the refillable mug, has to have his own coffee & coffeemaker in the room...) -- and showers (DS showers at night at home, but I doubt I'll be able to get him to do that after the long park days, unless it included a swim)!
When it's closer to our trip, we might even do a "trial run" just for fun, have DS time us to see how much time we'll need to go from wake-up call to out-the-door (to the resort bus-stop!) I'm hoping to keep it under 30 minutes...
