parking issues at parks....

This will be our first trip staying off property. My question is what is parking like at the parks? Is it pricey? Complicated? Is it a long walk to the gates of MK, EPCOT,AK and MGM.
We are staying at a condo off property it is suppose to be very close to Disney about 6 minutes. TIA

It's $9 per day for a car/van and you can use the voucher to park at all four parks all day. There are trams in all four parks where you can ride from your car to the front gate, with the exception of Magic Kingdom where the tram takes you to a place where you catch the monorail or ferry to MK front gate.
If you get there early (before or near park opening) you can usually park closer to the gates.
I've heard the MK parking lots are confusing so it's best to take the tram just to be sure end up in the right lot. The lots have names and aisle numbers to keep track of where you park.

First take that '6 minutes' with a grain of salt. It is 6 minutes to a gate for the WDW complex which is 45 square miles, then there's traffic to consider. I don't know which side of WDW your condo is but from 192 & International it has never taken me less than 20 minutes to get to a gate becuase of construction, bad traffic or a combination of the two. Also keep in mind that
I just wanted to add..we went to Disney once the day after Christmas. We went to MK the day we arrived and got to MK at about 11. The park was closed...or at least the parking lot was closed because it was full! So, if it is a crowded time of year, definietly get there early!
The last time we wnet and this time in Sept we are staying on property and using the buses. Our only complaint about the buses was it takes FOREVER for them to load passengers using wheelchairs and they get on first. Also, if you leave the parks at night, whoa!, the buses are packed~
We just got back from WDW and used the parking lots. It was $9. We used the trams and they were always quick and easy. Parking wasnt an issue at all for us the whole time. Never had any problems, they've got people out there directing you where to park and then you just have to remember which lot you are in when the tram brings you back.
Now at MK...you ride the tram from the parking lot then you have to get on the monorail or the Ferry to go the the park, you'd have to do this no matter which route you take and that was the worst. took so long and was so crowded!
Even at night when everyone is leaving the park and the lines are long we didnt wait long at all for the tram.
