With the new theme going on, I'm going to take DH's offer up on going next year (even if he was kind of saying it in jest!

Hey Becky - remember last year when you were getting ready for your "Once In A Lifetime" trip - LOL!!!

I think you absolutely can plan a trip in that time frame...actually you will really start planning it today (yesterday?) but you'll just start paying for it in February!! So when you think about it, you've got a year to plan....Have Fun!

True -- I have a gist of what I want to do but am wondering if I'm going to be freaking out (at least I know I don't want the Castle for a meal, so it won't be like I have to super duper worry about ADR's).

I wasn't sure DH would want to go or not again!

You could totally do it. And I know that everyone here loves to have ideas bounced off them. Drop me a line if you want some info pulled for you, or any of my other musings.

I can't believe I'm not trying to

Isn't this starting THIS October, and don't you have a trip planned for December????

Sure you could do it! You basically have a year to plan, just have everything in place and know what you want to do (ADR's, etc), then if you are able to do it, book everything in Feb! You may have to settle for less than ideal dinner times, but maybe not. Just be flexible! The 2007 room rates are out, and I'm hoping the packages will be out soon, hopefully since this new stuff has been announced, they'll get on with it. As soon as the rates come out, go to disney's site and find out how much it will cost you. Or, you could be a total nerd like me and already know a ballpark (hopefully!) based on this year's rates, and go from there. Will one of the AS Suites work for you guys? Do you want to go higher? Start looking at your options, and consider all of them. Dining plan or not? It may be cheaper for you, it may not. You have time to look at all that! You won't have the premium plan, and the trip will be a little different from the last one, but they all are different. They're all special, just the same.

I'm planning for May 25-June 2, 2007 and I'm having a ball!

Yep starts this October and yep we're going in Dec, but it looks like a bit of the stuff won't be in place until Jan at least. At least from the snippets I've had a chance to read here and there between cleaning and the owner of our house bringing realtors by. I need to find five minutes to actually read through it all and hope the TA site is up. 'Due to the large interest...blah blah blah some parts of our site may be inaccessible, but the quick book feature blah blah blah..." So every other TA in the world is probably trying to get on and see what the scoop is.

I really want to do a 7 night cruise next year so I'm fighting the 'If we renew our APs we can go sometime in May for our 10th anniversary and then do a land/sea for the cruise' train of thought.

She can actually book her ADRs, then IF she can't come up with the money, cancel them. This will work for all of them except the ones she would need to reserve with a credit card, but even those would be refunded if she cancels early enough (or have they changed that?). And she would be able to cancel in plenty of time for others to snag those spots, so nobody will be without.

Edited to say that I looked up the policy, and her credit card won't even be charged as long as she cancels in advance.
