We've got a character meal planned at 1900 Park Fare for dinner one night while we're at WDW. It will be for me, my dh, dd (7) and ds (5).

my dd dressed up for all our princess meals (she's now 6½yo)... i don't know if she'd want to dress up anymore. she might be 'embarrassed' now. most of the younger girls do, and the girls older than about 6yo, i'd say maybe half do that i've noticed. i don't think she'll feel left out either way, unless she would have LOVED dressing up and doesn't. But if she does dress up, she definitely will fit right in (there are enough girls dressed up that she definitely won't be the only one). and it's not like she's 12yo and dressing up and would feel 'weird'. i would just ask her if she'd want to.

I hadn't planned on it, but then we booked Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique for that afternoon, so my girls will be dressed. We booked the "Coach" package and will be bringing our dresses from home. My Girls are just turned 4 and about to turn 6. and both seem to be excited aobut dressing up and eating with Cinderella!

Ask your DD if she thinks she wants to dress up. YOuc an always bring your dress form home and pack it in a backpack. If she wants to wear it, just pull it out. I know my girls don't mind the wrinkles!!!

My DD dressed up for all our Princess meals, even last year when she was 7, but then she just loves to dress up anytime, anyplace, anywhere lol!

When we were at 1900 Park Fair 2 years ago I'd say it was about half and half, DH and I dressed up in our smart clothes too because I thought it would be a dressy kind of place since it was in the GF. It was our first visit to WDW and I had no idea this was a buffet dinner lol! needless to say were pretty much the ONLY adults not in casual clothes!

My DD has dressed up for character meals. We went to dinner at PF and she wore a blue Cinderella dress. She also had the middle package at BBB that afternoon. I would say 75% of the girls at PF were dressed up. My DD is very girly and it made her feel really special.

I have to agree that you really don't notice the other diners, especially once you're seated. Your kids are focused on where the characters are and when they'll come to your table and you're focused on getting your kids to eat something, anything, before the characters come over! LOL You will notice if anyone is dressed up while you're waiting for your ADR, but it will be half or less of the girls dressed up.

ROFLOL!~ It got to a point that I wouldn't buy a skirt that didn't have shorts attached becuase I couldn't find the little bike shorts anymore. Then I discovered that Kait fits into Amanda's 2T cotton shorts, but they're a little snug, so I bought her 3 pairs of 3T cotton shorts at Target and now she can get whatever skits and dresses she wants and have shorts to wear under them.
