Recommendations for tour books?

I'm wondering if you guys swear by one tour book in particular, one I should invest in. It doesn't have to be heavy on the hotel info, but help with restaurants, great tips and hints, maps, info on the on-site transportation. Any ideas?

I'd also like one that would be perfect for my kids to use and keep as a souvenir. The readers will be 9 and 6. Something that has pictures of the rides, maps of the parks, etc. I'd love to have them read it in advance, be able to bring it with us, and then have it to remember the trip.

Thanks!

Hi Laura,
I am new to the Disney scene as well and picked up a couple books that I liked. Birnbaum's The Offical Guide (2007) was helpful as well as the Walt Disney world and Orland book for Dummies.

I got my kids the Birnbaum's Walt Disney World book for kids by kids, and they love it. It is full of pictures, explains everything in their terms and even has a few pages in the back for autographs and scrapbooks, so they could take this on their trip and keep it forever. Those are my top picks :o)

Happy Reading!
Carrie
