I have a question, my Aunt has three refillable mugs from ASMovies she was going to give us for our trip next week and I was wondering if we would be able to use them? I thought I remember reading somewhere they changed their policy? TIA

Like Val, said - no, mugs are only good for the length of stay of the visit in which you purchased them.

Disney wasn't really on the up and up on changing mug designs or monitoring though so it was next to impossible to tell when the mug was purchased. HOWEVER - they've just started rolling out new mugs this year, they've been sighted at Saratoga Springs, the All Stars and Pop Century. They are blue Year of a Million Dreams mugs with different colored handles. There were pictures of them here http://allearsnet.com/tp/wander/wander70.htm

Sonya, curious though about another question.... if you bring your mug back a second day, refill it and then go thru the checkout line with the rest of your meal, how do they know it is already paid for??

I don't know if it's still the same but when we bought them a number of years ago, there was a tag thing on them that held the top to the bottom and the cashier clipped it off when you bought the mug and then you could fill it up.

Yep - There's a big bright yellow security tag on the handle of the mugs. Cashiers take it off when you pay for it.
