Hello all!!
I posted here about 4yrs ago when my family went to Disneyworld for the first time and this board was so helpful then, so I thought I would come back.
No..we aren't planning another trip to D-world....I start working there this saturday!! We moved to the Orlando area a little over a year ago, and the logistics finally worked themselves out so that I can go work at the happiest place on earth. I will be working in MGM studios.
But I just wanted to pop on..say HI..and hopefully become a major part of this board and hopefully be of some major help to those planning their trips.
I hope you all don't mind.
Lisa(siggie coming soon)

Thanks everyone, for the warm welcome.
I am so excited to get started....Saturday can't come soon enough for me.
I will find out Saturday where exactly I work in MGM, but I was told that I will be doing Merchandising on the left block. Basically, a cashier. I guess the left block is the left side of the main street when you first walk into MGM. But, when I find out saturday for sure, I will let you all know.
Also, if there's anything I can do to help with the upcoming trips you have, just let me know.
Thanks again for all the warm welcomes
How cool! We live in Palm Beach Gardens, and are BIG Disney geeks! We just ad our first trip since having our kids and are seasonal pass holders, so I look forward to meeting you IRL!
I need to know if it loses the magic being behind the scenes.
You got it. I too wonder if the magic will get lost. But, working at WDW has been a lifelong dream of mine (and I have had a long life.LOL).
It's going to be quite the journey.

Chiming in to welcome you, and looking forward to hearing a lot more about what it's like to be part of the magic! Our trip is in August, and I CANNOT wait...just now after dinner DH, DS and I played a little game I made up: I wrote on index cards Disney experiences we're looking forward to that we've never had before (DH and I went in 2000 so there's lots of new attractions since then, and things we didn't know about back then, and DS has never been). I made a whole deck of them and then we took turns taking groups of three cards at a time, reading them aloud, secretly putting them in order of "most looking forward to" to least, then having the rest of the family guess our picks (if they guessed wrong, you got points, because DS has to have things be competitive, you know!)
Anyway I just went and looked at my unofficial guide and sure enough, on that 'left block' is one of the coolest shops I remember ever browing at: Sid Cahuenga's One of a Kind...hope you get to work there (if you appreciate that kind of thing)!!
