Rent a stroller..... or bring your own?
| Thu, 04-19-2007 - 1:44pm |
We are going to Disney in a few weeks... and I am leaning toward bringing my double stroller (duo-glider) becuase I love it and it has so much space to store things. Our girls are 3 and 1.
What have people found re: bringing their own stroller vs. renting one? What are the strollers like that your rent? Do they have alot of space to store diaper bags, etc...?
Thx. so much.

Yes, the Magic Kingdom is designed completely differently from the other parks. Everything from the parking lot to the park itself is part of the 'show'. That's why once you get off the boat or the monorail in front of the MK you can't even see the castle until you're in the park and under the train station. The train station acts as the 'curtain's designed to reveal the first act (castle) in a subtle way. It's truely amazing the whole show process that went into designing the park - but that's more information than you asked for and doesn't really answer your question.
If you get there early enough in the day you'll be able to park in the Minnie section of the TTC parking lot and just walk under the bridge and up to the monorial, but if you get there at 10 or later you'll be far enough away to probably want/need the parking lot tram. Let me find the description I typed out about a month ago.....
K here it is - getting to the MK from offsite
You'll go up World Drive to the toll booths for the parking lot. Pay your $10 to the caffinated CM wishing you a good day and follow the road around to the parking area, staying between the cones. At the earliest time in the am you'll likely be parked in the Minnie section. You'll be to close for the parking trams and will instead get out of your vehicle and walk under the bridge. Once under the bridge you'll see the kennel to your right, the monorail platforms straight in front of you (behind the ticket booths), a sign for the ferry at about 11 o clock and to your left you'll see the Polynesian.
